Five months after ending her engagement to Ben Affleck – and just days after Marc Anthony’s divorce is finalized – Jennifer Lopez and the singer stun the world by tying the knot on June 4, 2004, at her Beverly Hills home. Lopez later tells PEOPLE, "When you find that person who doesn't run when things get hard – I think that's where Marc proved to me that he was more of a man than anything I had experienced."

The native New Yorkers – who are both of Puerto Rican descent – lead the charge in 2006 at the Big Apple's annual Puerto Rican Day parade. "I've never tried to hide the fact that I'm Latina," Lopez tells People En Español. "I think that's why Hispanics are like, 'She's ours; she's out there, but she belongs to us' – and that's true. With the Latino community, I am theirs. I do belong to them – that's who I am."

She finally makes the big announcement at their Nov. 7 stop in Miami: "Marc and I are expecting a baby!" Later, she jokes about her pregnancy, saying, "I kind of feel like everybody knew anyway. I was on tour with a bubble gut!"
