Bob Saget's Widow Kelly Rizzo Reveals a New Project: 'Half Cookbook, Half ... Stories About Bob' (Exclusive)

During an episode of PEOPLE in 10, the Eat Travel Rock founder exclusively revealed the upcoming book

Kelly Rizzo is remembering her late husband Bob Saget in a very special way.

During an episode of PEOPLE in 10 on Thursday, the Eat Travel Rock founder exclusively revealed how she'll continue to honor Saget's legacy in a new book.

“I’m working on a book that I’m very excited about,” she said. “You’re the first person I’m telling about this. It’s half cookbook and half memoir slash stories about Bob and also his friends sharing stories about Bob.”

The cookbook, which she did not share the title of yet, blends two of her passions. Rizzo is an avid cook and she also has a podcast called Comfort Food where she talks about meaningful topics like grief and how food plays a part.

Saget died unexpectedly in January 2022 at age 65. The actor and Rizzo had been married over 4 years, but the holiday season before his death was their first together.

During the PEOPLE in 10 episode, Rizzo explained that typically for Christmas, she would go home to see her family in Chicago, while Saget would spend it with his daughters in Los Angeles.

“That last Christmas, he and one of his daughters, Lara, came and spent Christmas with my family in Chicago and so we had our first Christmas together,” she recalled.

She added: “His daughters are currently staying with me for a few days and so that’s been something that’s been very special is to spend that holiday time with his girls.”

In October, Rizzo opened up to PEOPLE about “always” celebrating Saget no matter what.

"I think that for as long as I live, I'm always going to want to be celebrating Bob and talking about Bob," Rizzo said. "It makes me happy to talk about him."
