My last post. 🙏🤝 In this role.
🙏Today I celebrate, with gratitude, my last day in my part time National Association of Women in Construction NZ (NAWIC) role as Marketing and communications manager. 🙌4.5 years ago eagerly I took on this 'little' part time contract with this incredible organisation and ambitiously laid out some big goals for growth. ⚒️Working the 6 - 10 hours a week around my full time roles, sometimes more around Excellence Awards time, was challenging at times but I have loved every moment. ❤️I am proud to say that, working with a small, smart and mighty team, all of those goals have been achieved and some exceeded. 👏NAWIC is in a good place and positioned to shift up a few gears and I am excited to watch it all unfold. 🤝I am passing the batton to a wonderful, talented, passionate human who will just hit the ground running, she will be announced in the new year. ⌚It is time for me to focus on my amazing role at Hutt City Council and my growing family needs. 🙏To all those I have had the pleasure of working with over the years through this meaningful mahi, way too many to list, thank you for being who you are, for your contribution to the NAWIC mission and for being part of my career journey. 🙏Thank you to long time friend and business colleague Rosemary Killip for leading me to NAWIC in the first place. 💐A special thanks to the ones I worked extra closely with, who believed in me, followed my direction for growth, mentored my growth, gave me such trust and autonomy to do what I do best, for the laughter, the challenges we worked through together, the friendships that will live on and the special kind of comradery that comes from women supporting each other .
