We are incredibly honoured that the BBC featured our work on dismantling illegal wildlife trade and saving pangolins in Episode 7 of their latest ASIA series, narrated by Sir David Attenborough! The episode, Saving Asia, features eight people dedicating their lives to saving Asia's extraordinary wildlife using ingenious solutions. The crew visited us last year to film at our office and work on the ground; it was an unusual but very interesting experience for us. For a small conservation organization led by young people, we are humbled by the wonderful opportunity to share our work with a global audience. The series is being broadcast worldwide on BBC One and BBC Earth and is also available on BBC iPlayer in the UK: https://lnkd.in/dZGeA9tX; Greenhood Nepal part is in Episode 7 from 36:40 to 43:00 minutes. We are filled with gratitude to have the continued support of our esteemed advisors, partners, and donors who trust us with their time and resources to help save Nepal’s threatened wildlife. If you want to be part of our story, you can donate here https://lnkd.in/d8Bincus and reach out to [email protected] to discuss potential collaboration opportunities.

Last month, we had an interactive session with local #communities in Golaghat, Chitwan. The discussion highlighted problems faced by locals in implementing environmental and social compliance to protect #rhinos & other #wildlife habitats. Thanks to all for joining forces.

Yew tree regeneration is a slow process, with seedlings taking up to three years to develop. Unfortunately, they are being uprooted for private cultivation, affecting the wild population. Watch this video to learn more about the challenges and the urgent need for conservation efforts. #taxling

I grew up seeing pangolins in my village but never knew how to help them. I am thrilled to have created this handbook now with my Greenhood Nepal colleagues, which will guide frontline authorities and communities across Nepal who encounter pangolins in risky situations. Can't wait to take it to Nepal's key pangolin habitats and trade hubs to save pangolins. #nepalpangolin

Tihar is here, and it reminds us how Nepali people celebrate their close relationship with fellow creatures and nature. During this week, many worship crows, dogs, cows, oxen, and their brothers/sisters. We wish you a Happy Tihar and hope the world can learn from this beautiful culture. #tihar #kukurtihar
