    2024 LinkedIn Top Voice - Helping People Do Their Best Work By Being The Best Version Of Themselves

    Neuroinclusive By Design Neurodiversity will be a superpower in 2025, and the smartest workplaces will further unlock it. This was my favorite finding from the Top Employers Institute's 2025 Workplace Trends report: Moving from accommodations to inclusive by design, such as skills-based hiring and flexible workflows, will continue to benefit everyone. Trend number four, neuroinclusive by design, basically means that inclusivity is becoming a foundational principle in the workplace regarding inclusion skills which also sets up a better way to build leadership skills. By embracing neurodiversity, orgs are creating environments where diverse neurological perspectives are not just being accommodated but celebrated. In the report, 92% of organizations polled reported using a standardized framework for employee selection that emphasizes skills and capabilities benefiting both market share and profitability. For more on this, and to read the entire report Jake Canull remains the key plug. Only one more trend to go, and while this was my favorite the last is a must know for all leaders today, especially if you think AI might play any role in the workplace in 2025.

    2025 Trend #2 - The New Belonging Workplace belonging is being redefined in real-time and faster than ever before. People crave meaningful connections that extend well beyond traditional organizational boundaries, like fostering a sense of community through external networks with shared perspectives. This is at the core of trend #2 from Top Employers Institute's 2025 Trends report. They surveyed HR and talent teams of over 2,300 global multinational organizations and gave me a sneak peek at the output of their findings (in case you didn't see episode 1 from this). Some of the case studies in this trend seem unfathomable at face value, but the more consideration that is given to what companies like STMicroelectronics France are doing, the more exciting this all becomes because it is not impossible. It's a trend that needs to be embraced to let our talent shine and develop in more progressive ways that ultimately benefit the business as well. STMicroelectronics developed a regional collaboration support system for employees to foster a greater sense of belonging and opportunities for development. The company partnered with nearby organizations, like Capgemini and Hewlett Packard, to establish a regional talent exchange program. How dope!     Blurring The Line Between Modern Blue-Collar & White-Collar Jobs It makes complete sense when you think about it, but at first, I was not entirely sure how to understand this one when I read it in the Top Employers Institute World of Work Trends report. However, how they translate that into Trend #3 (Transforming employee experience for all) is a fascinating take that makes complete sense after digesting their report. This shift, sometimes described as the rise of “new collar” jobs, combines the technical expertise often associated with blue-collar work with the adaptability and digital skills needed in today’s job market. Some of the best practices noted in the report, where companies are well ahead of this trend, involve creating more inclusive practices to ensure all employees feel valued and empowered regardless of their role. When Top Employers polled 2,300 global multinational organizations about this, 30% said the employee experience would become more important in 2025 because of this trend, which will also impact how job descriptions are crafted. Especially with Gen Z’s focus on practical skills over formal education and the ever-growing cry from everyone for more flexible scheduling, skills-based growth paths, and recognition practices at work.
