🚀 Introducing Nio: A New Async Runtime for Rust 🦀 Exciting news for the Rust community! Nio is an experimental async runtime designed to explore alternative scheduling strategies in Rust applications. Key Features: - Modular Architecture: Nio allows seamless switching between different scheduling algorithms, offering developers flexibility. - Least-Loaded Scheduler: This simple yet effective strategy assigns new tasks to the worker with the least workload, addressing issues like starvation and minimizing context switching. - Performance Benchmarks: Initial tests show promising improvements, with the Least-Loaded scheduler demonstrating efficient task handling and reduced overhead.
