Gespecialiseerd in geotechniek, zet ze haar kunde onder meer in om de draagkracht van historische infrastructuur te berekenen. Hierdoor weten we dat veel oude kunstwerken sterker zijn dan voorheen gedacht. Sterker nog, er wordt zelfs gekeken hoe we succesvolle methoden uit het verleden opnieuw kunnen inzetten. Cruciale kennis in de enorme vervangings- en renovatieopgave (V&R) waar we als land voor staan. En door te kunnen behouden besparen we onder andere op de uitstoot en overlast van nieuwbouw. Today Paradise Bridge -the largest of its kind in Europe- opens in Bergen, Norway! The 42-metre-long truss bridge provides pedestrians and cyclists with a faster, safer passage over a busy road and light rail. Made entirely of fibreglass and carbon composite, it is designed to last 100 years with minimal maintenance. And installation took just one (!) hour. A team at Royal HaskoningDHV, including composite lead engineer Liesbeth Tromp and bridge constructor Kees van IJselmuijden, was responsible for the bridge design and the composite related production quality checks. Viaduct Hoog Burel wint Betonprijs 2024: circulair bouwen bereikt nieuwe mijlpaal Het project Vervanging Viaduct Hoog Burel heeft de prestigieuze Betonprijs 2024 gewonnen in de categorie 'grensverleggende bouw'.  In 2021 werd ons consortium Liggers2.0, bestaande uit Dura Vermeer, Vlasman Betonbewerkings- en Slooptechnieken b.v. en Haitsma Beton B.V.,geselecteerd om een prototype circulair viaduct te ontwikkelen voor het SBIR-onderzoeksprogramma van Rijkswaterstaat. Het hergebruik van prefab liggers in viaduct Hoog Burel testte zowel de technische haalbaarheid als de duurzaamheidswinst in de praktijk. Zoals Kees Blom in de jurymotivatie van de Betonvereniging verwoordde: ‘Viaduct Hoog Burel is een baanbrekend project dat de grenzen van innovatie en duurzaamheid verlegt. Door hergebruikte liggers toe te passen in een CC3-kunstwerk, is aangetoond dat liggers van veertig jaar oud nog honderd jaar meegaan.’ Meer weten over de impact van circulair viaductontwerp?
