On Thursday, September 12, 2024, we formally established the Emeritus Professor S.K. Adeyoju Memorial Arboretum, honoring the first Professor of Forestry in Africa. This significant event was held in partnership with the Department of Forest Resources and Wildlife Management at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and the Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN). The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Prof. Ogounsawo, National Secretary of FAN; Prof. Olayode, Head of the Forestry Department, EKSU; and Prof. Arowosoge of EKSU, who delivered a goodwill message.
