Cadbury is on a roll with their new launches this month – and now, they’ve introduced a spin-off of a fan favourite that is sure to be a hit.

Chocolate buttons are already a reliable choice when it comes to treating yourself, so how could they possibly be made better?

Make them bigger, of course.

Cadbury have launched Mega White Chocolate Buttons, and fans are hopeful it’s a sign that similar white chocolate treats will follow in 2024.

White Mega Buttons are currently being sold in Asda, and their arrival in-store was shared on Instagram by @treatsinstore, with hundreds liking the news.

The food blogger shared a snap of the packet, writing: ‘NEW Cadbury White Mega Buttons (UK). Out now!!! Spotted in Asda.’

The post went on to share that it was the second new Cadbury white chocolate product they’d seen in the supermarket, as Asda has also brought back the Cadbury White Oreo Eggs, which are a limited-edition item, last sold in 2022.

They added: ‘Hopefully 2024 will be the year Cadbury finally gives white chocolate a big push.’

Chocolate fans in the comments were thrilled by the new mega buttons, which are even bigger than the usual giant chocolate buttons.

One fellow Instagram user @goodsnackreviews said: ‘Oh wow’, while many thought Asda were ‘on fire’ with their new releases of late.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Mega Buttons have been a big hit previously, with Asda shoppers branding them the ‘best thing ever’, ‘delicious’, ‘impressive’, and their ‘favourite’ in reviews on the supermarket’s website.

As such, we have pretty high expectations for this new twist on the product.

It’s not clear how much the White Mega Buttons cost, but the Dairy Milk version is priced at £2.50 for a 192g sharing bag, so it’s likely the new version will be the same, if not similar.

This comes after Cadbury fans went wild over a limited-edition Easter dessert that’s returned to shops.

Combining two of the nation’s favourite treats in one, the Layers of Joy Eggciting dessert does what it says on the tin: it’s a giant Creme Egg trifle complete with silky layers of dairy milk chocolate mousse, sponge and flavoured dessert.

It’s perfect for sharing, but it looks so gorgeous that dipping a spoon in and enjoying it solo (almost like an egg and solider?) seems all too tempting.

The price of it varies between £3.50 and £4, but it’s available in a range of both online and IRL supermarkets, including Tesco, Asda and Aldi.
