Yesterday among other days I see people of the ecosystem protraiting this period as one of the best to become a Startupper. I am against sugarcoating and making everything easy to digest. So I will say that being startupper is hard and to be a successful one is extremely hard. Since pictures speak volumes I will draw you one. Becoming a startupper is like starting training for an IRONMAN and to have a successful exit is like qualifying for the IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Let that thought sink in.... Its not impossible but its takes grit, perseverance and the attitude of a shark. IF you dont feel like one, you are not but that doesnt mean you cant become one. I like to listen to different podcasts from time to time. While I wouldn’t say it’s my best way of acquiring information, it’s definitely a great source of inspiration. I guess I’m still a bit old-fashioned - a book lover at heart. There’s something about the feel of a book that’s hard to put into words. That said, this part of Harry Stebbings' podcast series is probably my favorite so far. The story of Bolt is truly remarkable and incredibly inspiring - a testament to the power of belief and hard work. What stands out most to me is how Bolt’s journey showcases the importance of being capital-effective and resourceful. Starting with just €5,000 given by parents to becoming an $8BN company - it’s a story of resilience, smart decision-making, and perseverance, even when every European VC said "no". Huge respect to Bolt CEO Markus Villig for not giving up and working tirelessly with his team to make their dream a reality! It’s even more delightful to hear such success stories from our neighbors. 🌍 Stories like this remind us that extraordinary outcomes often stem from bold ideas and relentless execution. In my opinion, this is a missed opportunity. It will not only help boost your rev share deals but also help you build deeper relationships with operators. When loyal players return, they generate consistent income. The longer they stay, the more valuable they become. This is common sense. Decades old recipe to attract retail customers; it never fails. Most of the times this discount is not a real concession, but we fall for it easily, and every time. If it is a sale of FMCG in a hypermarket chain or sale on expensive designer branded items in high-end shops, all classes equally get attracted and rush to, when a "Reduction Sale" is announced.
