With the drastic growth of EVs, the future smart grid is expected to extensively incorporate dynamic wireless charging (DWC) systems, a significant advancement over traditional charging methods. DWC, offering the unique ability to charge vehicles in motion, introduces new infrastructures, complex network models and consequently, a massive attack surface. To accomplish the goal of such an enormous smart grid accompanying DWCs, the security of EV charging infrastructures has become a deciding factor. EV charging is vulnerable to cyberattacks as it has many attack vectors and many challenges to combat. Unlike the traditional charging services provided in a typical static charging station, the DWC has a complex network architecture which makes it vulnerable to many forms of cyberattacks. Authentication plays a crucial role in safeguarding the frontline security of this ecosystem. However, within the domain of DWC, the current academic landscape has seen limited attention dedicated to authentication protocols. This background signifies the necessity of a comprehensive survey to cover the authentication protocols of dynamic wireless EV charging environments. This review paper examines the security requirements and the network model of the DWC, providing comprehensive insights into existing authentication protocols by scrutinizing a proper classification. Important Announcement! UIDAI Upgrades to L1 RD Fingerprint Scanners for Better Aadhaar Authentication by June 2024 This year Unique Identification Authority of India has announced a major hardware and Software upgrade from L0 to L1 RD fingerprint scanners for Aadhaar-based verification, including AEPS, eKYC, and attendance systems. All L0 biometric devices will be removed or stopped working by June 30, 2024, and from 1st July onwards only L1 RD devices will be allowed to use. Due to this change security of biometric devices will be increase and it will effect all kinds of authentication especially related to financial transactions. This change is expected to lower rejection rates because L1 capacitive sensors are more accurate and process faster than the old L0 optical sensors. L1 fingerprint verification offers strong security and is made for busy uses like banking, smart card updates, password changes, and financial management. Its ability to precisely read fingerprint details, including pore locations, ensures fewer errors and rejections, making the system more reliable and efficient. The timeline for phasing out L0 RD devices is as follows: * By March 31, 2023, for devices deployed before December 31, 2014. * By June 30, 2023, for devices deployed before December 31, 2016. * By December 31, 2023, for devices deployed before December 31, 2019. * By June 30, 2024, the final phase-out for all L0 RD devices. The L1 devices implement biometric encryption also signing within a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), ensuring that private keys cannot be accessed or tampered with by the host OS, enhancing the security of biometric data.

Digital House Arest Cyber Froad : This new modus operandi involves cybercriminals impersonating law enforcement officials and using scare tactics to coerce victims into staying home and transferring money. One notable case involved a resident of Munirka, Delhi, who lost Rs 44.45 lakhs. The victim received a call from someone pretending to be a Crime Branch officer, claiming that his Aadhaar card was used for illegal activities. The fraudsters used video calls to intimidate the victim, convincing him to reveal his bank account details, which they then drained. In another instance, the Delhi Police reported a significant rise in such cases, with over 200 incidents recorded monthly. The criminals typically deceive victims into believing their personal information is linked to criminal activities, restraining them virtually and coercing payments under threat of legal action . These cases highlight the need for increased public awareness and robust cybersecurity measures to prevent such frauds. If you receive suspicious calls or requests for personal information, it is crucial to verify the source and contact local authorities immediately.

Integration of Mifare DESFire for STid readers DDS security systems have integrated Mifare DESFire for STid readers. DDS security systems have integrated STid readers connected via RS485 to the JET (with STiD FW). Communication between the controller, the interface and the access readers is managed by the STID SSCP protocol. Cards are encoded using a STid USB reader/encoder, directly via STid’s SECard application. The SECard application from STid allows creating a badge configuration, including the CMK key, the AMK key of the application and its AID identifier, and the definition of 2 data files, with their keys, in which the badge codes will be saved.
