You're seeking to grow your business reach. How can you tap into your networking connections effectively?
For a simplified way to leverage your network for business growth, ask yourself these questions - Who do you want to reach? Are your current connections in your network a good fit? Will you be able to make time to keep in touch and offer them consistent value? Will you be able to politely request them for introductions for growing your business? It takes time and effort to expand your network. You have to keep re-inventing on the go to see what's working and what's not. Networking is about building genuine connections. Be helpful, be interested & above all, just be yourself.

Struggling to maintain a consistent professional image online and in person?
My communication style mirrors how I present myself in meetings or at networking events, so people experience consistency in my voice, both digitally and in person. I avoid posting things online that I wouldn't feel comfortable discussing in a professional setting. Unified Messaging, Visual Consistency, Content Sharing & Engagement Style to top it all. This helps in building genuine connections, both in professional environments and on social media platforms.

💡 Building Impactful Legacies that Transcend Borders 🌍 While celebrating Indicorns marks a meaningful evolution for Indian startups, a founder's vision shouldn't be confined to one framework or geography. Success, whether as an "Indicorn" or a "Unicorn," is about tackling bold, global challenges—real problems that need solving at scale. 🌐 With over a decade of experience, I’ve seen that true purpose in entrepreneurship goes beyond achieving a $1B valuation or crossing ₹100 crore. It’s about creating solutions that improve lives, empower societies, and spark real-world change. Wherever the journey begins, whether in the heart of India or Silicon Valley, success is in the impact we make, the challenges we take on, and the value we create. 📈 Aspire not just to build wealth but to generate lasting change. That’s where the real reward of entrepreneurship lies—and why building resilient, purpose-driven companies matters more than any label or metric. Let’s redefine success on our own terms, inspiring future founders to think bigger, bolder, and beyond boundaries. 🌠 #PurposeDriven #UnicornMindset #InnovateForGood #Entrepreneurship #SolveBigProblems #CreateRealChange #BeyondValuations #ImpactEntrepreneurs #BoldVisions

Alarming Trend: Nearly 2 out of 3 influencers have 60% fake Instagram followers 😯 A recent report by influencer marketing platform Klug Klug has revealed a concerning trend in India's influencer marketing industry. Nearly two out of three Instagram profiles in India have spurious or fake followers in excess of 60 percent. This issue is particularly prevalent in the beauty and fashion industry, where influencers resort to deceptive practices, potentially leading to significant financial losses for brands investing in influencer marketing campaigns. The report highlights that only 2.48 million profiles out of the eight million audited exhibited credible and high-quality followers. India is both the largest supplier and buyer of fake followers, with the cost of buying fake followers as low as Rs 8 to Rs 10 for 1,000 followers and going up to Rs 50 per 1,000 followers on Instagram. This alarming trend not only affects brands but also legitimate influencers who are in a race to amplify reach and get the attention of brands. Brands lose 30-50 percent of their money on every campaign due to fake followers, which results in poor engagement rates and complicates efforts to measure true impact and ROI. While fake followers are being bought by all types and sizes of influencers, a smaller fraction, who are larger influencers, also buy comments and likes, in what is known as engagement buying. This practice is more common among larger influencers who monetize their content and need to show higher engagement to brands. However, it's not just brands that face the side-effects of fake followers; some influencers, too, are losing opportunities. Brands are working with the top 500 creators, making it challenging for new creators to make space for themselves. Despite the menace of fake followers affecting the influencer industry, there are some red flags that brands and influencer marketing agencies have started to look out for, such as engagement rates and the number of views compared to the number of followers. As brands and agencies, it's crucial to work together to ensure a transparent and trustworthy influencer marketing landscape. By identifying and partnering with truly influential content creators, we can reduce the prevalence of fake followers in the industry and create meaningful partnerships that yield genuine engagement and ROI. Do share your thoughts on how sports and athlete partnerships can defy the trend of fake followers, bringing authenticity and increasing trust for brands in influencer marketing. #influencermarketing #socialmedia #fakefollowers #brands #influencers

Can D2C brands succeed in offline? (Part 1) D2C & Edtech were the flavours of the Covid season. Unprecedented adoption of digital living presented a mirage that the unearthly growth rate will continue forever. End of Covid, people went back to normal living. Edtech firms are getting bust. D2C brands are now soul searching to transform into Omnichannel brands. This wishful transformation is not that easy & has got its own share of nitty gritties as below: 1. Product Portfolio rejig – A product that sells well online need not sell in offline market at all. A special ingredient shampoo priced steeply at Rs.399/- in online have to fight against a Rs.99/- shampoo in the retail shelf from a Consumer purview. If consumer is convinced of the brand story & have cherished the usage experience might pay that premium. Otherwise, Portfolio needs to be aligned (Pricing, Packaging, Sizes etc.,) to a retail market scenario. 2. Brand Creation challenges – Online World presents a unidirectional medium. Offline media is multi-dimensional and poses a great challenge to build a brand through it. TV and Press are so diverse that you will only spray & pray. Its damn expensive too. Few regional brands might have built their limited region market even with one or two channels. 3. Distributor/ Retailer nexus – I come from a traditional retail background where I would have to visit 40 outlets in a day. Brands, Distributors, Salesmen – all would work the market for results. Today’s retail situation is so different that distributors are only logistics partners & brand will have to fund the market credit. On top of it, Retailers dictate the brand’s access to consumers. Having used to getting 7 days payment after sale in online, brand will have to stretch credit upto 90 days here. (Think, Plan before venturing) [End of Part 1] #d2c #retail #brand #marketing #consumer #consumerbrand #fmcg #fashion #bpc #sales #online #business

I've read this book multiple times, and each read reveals new perspectives and understandings that I hadn't noticed before. Here are few points that I think are very important 1. The book delves into the creation of iconic campaigns like "Cadbury’s Kuch Khaas Hai," "Fevicol's Campaign, Humara Bajaj," and "Asian Paints Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai." 2. He discusses the challenges and creative processes behind these successful ad & Highlights the significance of understanding and incorporating cultural nuances in advertising. 3. His campaigns often draw from Indian traditions, festivals, and everyday life. Emphasizes storytelling as a powerful tool in advertising. 4. Stresses that stories must resonate with the audience and evoke genuine emotions. 5. Offers practical advice for young professionals entering the advertising industry. 6. Encourages aspiring advertisers to stay curious, passionate, and true to themselves. . . . . #marketing #advertising #ogilvy #piyushpandey #videoads #campaigns #cadbury #fevicol #tvcommercials #creativecampaign #storytelling #stories

Rock it Ameya Paratkar : ) Selling products, productions between two businees or a group of artists, a big production house and small production houses. Can we implement some ideas from B2B business processes, I don't know. Maybe we can observe entrepreneurial processes more closely and have courage to implement in Indian arts and entertainment industry. Watch out for this! eChai Ventures

The Indian startup scene is obsessed with ‘billion-dollar valuations’. Headlines scream about the latest "unicorn," promising overnight riches and fame. But are these valuations the only measure of success? Recent struggles of high-profile startups like Unacademy and Byju's suggest otherwise. Their relentless pursuit of #growth and #funding, while initially dazzling, ultimately led to financial instability and massive layoffs. It's tempting to chase investor dollars and external validation. But this often comes at the cost of building a sustainable #business model. Founders can get caught in a whirlwind of rapid scaling, neglecting the fundamentals that ensure long-term #profitability. To me, real entrepreneurial #success isn't about making headlines or becoming the next big unicorn. It's about building something that truly matters – a #product or #service that solves real problems and makes a difference. When you #bootstrap a business, there’s a certain grit and sense of #ownership that you don’t get when using someone else’s money. It’s about valuing every rupee, every bit of effort, and every sacrifice you make along the way. This approach creates a strong sense of #responsibility, making your business tougher and more capable of handling challenges. So, instead of chasing the fleeting glory of the unicorn dream, let's focus on building businesses that last. Businesses that create jobs, contribute to the economy, and make a difference in the lives of their customers. This is the kind of success that truly matters—the kind that benefits not just the entrepreneur but the entire ecosystem. #bootstrapping #entrepreneurship #andsolutions

𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐆𝐌𝐀𝐓 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 The above statement resonates deeply with Anurag's GMAT journey. "I realized the GMAT isn't just about how much you know, but how you approach each section," he reflects. This insight was his game-changing moment. When I first heard about Anurag's transformation from 635 to an impressive 715, I was amazed by the improvement. As I delved deeper into his story, I discovered a powerful lesson: 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘔𝘈𝘛 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘺, 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦. Watch Anurag's full interview here: https://lnkd.in/gmzxiDRM Let's break down the key insights that propelled Anurag to the top 1% of GMAT scorers: Anurag's journey to the top 1% of GMAT scorers is a masterclass in strategic preparation. In the Quant section, he achieved a flawless Q90 by emphasizing mindset over memorization. "Read questions twice…," he advises, highlighting how this simple strategy prevents silly mistakes in seemingly easy problems. This approach transformed his performance, proving that attention to detail can be the difference between a good score and a great one. The Data Insights section, often intimidating to many test-takers, became another area of triumph for Anurag. His foolproof tactics turned initial apprehension into an improvement from 70%ile to 96%ile. This transformation demonstrates that with the right approach, even the most daunting sections can be conquered. Perhaps the most crucial element of Anurag's preparation was his approach to mock tests. "Analyze every mock for 30-40 minutes," he emphasizes. This deep dive into performance patterns was pivotal, helping him identify and correct weaknesses. His insights on section ordering and performance tracking could be the missing piece in many GMAT aspirants' preparation puzzles. Anurag's journey proves that with the right strategies and mindset, even the most daunting GMAT score is within reach. His story isn't just about a score increase—it's a blueprint for smart, efficient GMAT preparation. 🤔 Which of Anurag's strategies resonates most with you?
