Imagine you are an agency who cares that your DTC clients brand grow. So you give them a ton of raw feedback on their current situation. But in India it seems most of such feedback hurts the brand owners' ego. Instead of taking it as a feedback for their business and brand. They take it as a personal remark in most cases. And that's one of the worst qualities to have as an entrepreneur. In business and in life you become big when you drop your ego. And develop an appetite for constructive feedback. No agency wants to make sure they hurt your personal sentiments. They only want the best for your brand. But I guess this kind of insecurities are deep rooted in Indian culture from few generations in the past. Though such things must not impact business. As a DTC brand owner you should be surrounding yourself with proven marketers. And then let them do their job. Give them a budget, timeline and target. But don't piss them off so much that they start hating on you as a client. WinZO has lodged a complaint with the Competition Commission of India (CCI), accusing Google of anti-competitive behavior and discriminatory practices that favor Fantasy and Rummy games on the Play Store and its advertising platforms. Co-founder Saumya Singh Rathore highlighted how these policies reduced marketing costs for select games, giving them an unfair advantage in a market dominated by a few players. The CCI has tasked its Director General with submitting an investigation report within 60 days. This follows Winzo's earlier lawsuit against Google in 2022 over similar concerns. Established in 2018, Winzo has shown remarkable growth, achieving ₹674 crore in revenue and ₹126 crore in profit in FY23.
