Professional Courier’s Unprofessional Behavior I recently shipped a courier from Pune under the "urgent category" on the 12th of August, expecting swift and timely delivery due to the critical nature of the documents. The courier arrived at the Nagpur office on the 16th of August, but to my surprise and frustration, it was not delivered until the evening of the 17th, despite being marked as urgent. Upon inquiring, the regional manager in Nagpur, Mr. Viju Tandel(8108112759), informed me that the courier would only be delivered on the 18th of August due to "less manpower." This explanation is not only unacceptable but also highlights a significant lapse in professionalism. The delivery address was a mere 300 meters from the Nagpur office, yet no effort was made to ensure timely delivery. In the end, I had to send someone from my team to pick up the package in person, defeating the purpose of using an urgent courier service. Even normal deliveries are typically handled more efficiently than what I experienced with this so-called urgent service. This incident has left me questioning the reliability and commitment of Professional Courier, especially when their urgent service couldn't meet basic expectations. This level of service is unacceptable, particularly when even standard delivery services, such as those provided by Indian Post, are faster. A breezy summary of my PoV :- Roger / Rafa / Novak and Andy - the big 4 , and yet on shoe doesn’t fit all . All 4 player the slams , won / lost, created fans, made us emotional and left real challenges to next gen to achieve. Brands need to balance ATL / Digital / BTL and technology. A start up brand / a top of the chart mid sized bank like us / a top brand in its categories will all have different needs aka far mvp and base sales going / build franchise / play leadership and create new markets + segments Closer home the elections are testimony that all media / medium and content needs to be used to deliver the message. And if I were to track just one thing as a marketer is how is it being interpreted and recieved. Bottom line or top line will happen as desired Marketers are in an election mode due to the various opportunities to communicate in multiple formats and frequency. Managing data privacy - brands should walk the talk, and help create framewors, trust is a non negotiable currency. Misuse of data, spam, proliferation for a few leads more all have long term impact on brand health. 175* only those at the venue knew. Much like the game of golf, our professional lives are filled with challenging "hazards" that can disrupt our rhythm and test our confidence. However, the true mark of a winner is not the absence of setbacks, but how we respond to them. Take lessons from the playing manual of the world's greatest golfers....when faced with a challenging shot, they don't dwell on their mistakes or let them derail their game. Instead, they reflect on what went wrong, adjust their strategy, and mentally prepare for the next opportunity. Podcast Recommendation: It's important to put your money where your heart is. Money alone cannot be the driver. The joy of the ability to empower individuals, foster meaningful relationships, and cultivate a community of like-minded people is what a business means to us. TING is one such example. Not too surprised, now that I know the backstory, thanks to Sharavana Raghavan - Vitral Brand Expertise (Vitral Tamil podcast) for hosting Mr. Kiran Reddy of Satyam Cinemas. Something that deeply resonates with ting's philosophy. He starts off by saying "When you want to make a difference to someone's experience in a good way." That got me hooked, and the rest of it was just the journey through someone who had the vision and earnest interest to make cinema viewing better for the audience. I often quote this as an example when I speak with my team members internally. Satyam Cinemas had this campaign "for the love of cinema." These words are so true to this brand because they lived every sense of it in reality. From the person who served you popcorn to the person who helped you park, everyone had the same sense of responsibility towards the customer. The purpose of business is to make money, but how you make the money matters. Thank you, Mr. Kiran Reddy, for this. I wish it remained the Satyam it was, but a leaf out of your book definitely helps. Thank you, Sharavana Raghavan, for making the exception to host an English podcast in the already rich roster of Tamil episodes. The questions and the way you navigated the journey were well done.
