Puravankara planning $100-mn QIP as real estate firms tap markets for funding growth, reduce debt Bengaluru-based real estate developer Puravankara Limited is gearing up to launch a qualified institutional placement (QIP) that will see the company raise as much as Rs 700-800 crore, said sources aware of the company’s plans. “Puravankara has picked ICICI Securities as one of its advisors for the QIP and they will add one or two more banks. Amid high demand, real estate developers ramp up uber-luxury projects Indian real estate firms are diversifying their portfolios to include ultra-luxury projects ranging between Rs 3.5 crore and Rs 45 crore, as they capitalised on the uptick in demand for opulent apartments especially among the new-generation entrepreneurs and C-level executives. Luxury home sales in India, valued at Rs 4 crore and above, surged by 75 per cent last year, doubling their share of total housing sales, according to CBRE’s report. “Considering the excellent response that we received, we are already planning to launch the second tower in Prestige Ocean Towers. Rising income levels to optimise home affordability in next 12 months: JLL The top Indian real estate markets are anticipated to see improved affordability levels by 2025, except for the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) and Bengaluru, amid expectations of a 50 basis point rate cut and rising household incomes, as per JLL’s Home Purchase Affordability Index (HPAI). Real estate demand to remain buoyant in India, says Abhinandan Lodha Demand for real estate, especially plotted land in India, will see a sharp rise as government investment in new roads, highways, and airports is encouraging developers and customers to invest in remote cities, said Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of The House of Abhinandan Lodha.
