APAC is a newly emerging data center market, and in fact, many operators are seeking to enter. Each region has a different and unique development environment, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage. The judgment is extremely up to the operator. I think the starting criteria for the new DC business are clear. 1) hyper scale reliable power, scalability 2) rich IT user and the domestic market, interconnection 3) low cost of land, government support & benefits 4) a natural disaster risk 5) no civil complaint 6) whether the government grants permission according to the development All of this should be called the element of sustainability. We think we can reach success through choice and focus. <Korea Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy "Data Center Regional Dispersion Project"> https://lnkd.in/genWAxHm <IDC Dangjinjeilcha - Completed permit 200MW hyperscale data center> https://lnkd.in/g3566tGa https://lnkd.in/gHX8kYDk #digitalinfra #datacenter #DC #CBRE #AI #ML #cloud #APAC #southkorea #IDCDangjin #power #emergingmarket

Data centres: the next big commercial alternative asset class Vanessa Rader Head of Research Ray White Group Over the past two decades, the number of data centres around the world has been steadily increasing, with Australia now ranking as the seventh most populous country for these facilities. The nation has witnessed significant investments, totaling more than $13.6 billion, directed towards the construction of new data centres. In the last year alone, completed projects added more than 150,000sqm of space. As the country's population grows, it is anticipated that the demand for these facilities will also increase, resulting in assets being closely held and low annual sales volumes. In the past 10 years, transactions have been limited, reaching a peak of $3 billion in 2020, with an average investment of approximately $1.2 billion per year. During the first five months of 2024, a range of offerings have been transacted, amounting to $414.5 million.
