Today, Dr. T. Natarajan IAS, Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, GoG, visited i-Hub and chaired an engaging roundtable discussion. Mr. Hiranmay Mahanta [CEO, i-Hub] and Mr. Jaykumar Joshi [Program Head, i-Hub], presented the hub-and-spoke model developed for startups at i-Hub, along with insights into its structure, flagship initiatives under the SSIP policy, and the support offered to startups, including pre-incubation, incubation, acceleration, and IPFC-specific assistance. Dr. T. Natarajan also interacted one-on-one with startups from various domains such as defense, aviation, space, drone technology, renewable energy, sports, SaaS, fintech, and more. These interactions highlighted specific challenges faced by startups, particularly in validation and certification where the startups shared some inputs for policy interventions that the government can implement to address such barriers, enabling startups to concentrate on their growth. 🛰️ Varuna is going to space! 🚀 PSLV 📅 Dec 20, 2024 (Tentative) As we approach the launch date, I can’t help but recall what Shri Rajeev Jyoti, Fellow FINAE, FASI, FIETE (Director, Technical Directorate, IN-SPACe) said during our flag-off: "Though it may feel like you’ve done your part, the journey of Varuna has just started and the real test begins once Varuna is in space." So, if someone asks me: Am I excited? Absolutely. Am I nervous? Definitely. Because on 20th December, the real test begins. 🤞
