About us

The Union Cabinet's approval of the National Quantum Mission (NQM) marks a significant step towards positioning India as a global leader in Quantum Technology (QT). NQM aims to drive scientific and industrial R&D, creating a dynamic ecosystem for QT in India. Key objectives include developing quantum computers with 50-1000 qubits, secure satellite-based quantum communications, and advancing quantum sensing, metrology, and materials. The Mission will establish four Thematic Hubs (T-Hubs) in top academic and National R&D institutes, focusing on following domains: 1) Quantum Computing 2) Quantum Communication 3) Quantum Sensing & Metrology 4) Quantum Materials & Devices NQM is set to revolutionize sectors like communication, health, finance, and energy, supporting national initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Join us as we accelerate QT-led economic growth and innovation, making India a global powerhouse in Quantum Technologies and Applications.
