Take a look at this picture. It was taken today at our Salesforce offices in Tel-Aviv. It shows a few dozens of Salesforce Israel employees in one of our regular all-hands meetings. What's so special about that? Well, that picture was taken exactly 36 hours after Iran launched a massive aerial strike against Israel with 100s of UCAVs, ballistic and cruise missiles carrying about 60 tons(!) of explosives. Thanks to the Israeli Air force, the air forces of the US, UK, France, Jordan and others *and* Israeli innovation and engineering talent who developed the most advanced multi-layered air defense systems in the world - luckily that attack ended up with relatively low impact. It was a sleepless night for all us in Israel who got an advanced notice of the attack and basically spent that night bracing for impact. Now take another look at this picture. 36 hours later - People showing up at the office, talking to each other, having a few laughs, having meetings, discussing deadlines, solving business problems, discussing engineering problems, doing demos, having coffee and lunch together, having an all-hands meeting together. 36 hours ago we were bracing for impact of 60 tons of explosives that were about to fall out of the sky. Since October 7, Israeli tech companies have really stepped up in some impressive ways, demonstrating resilience and innovation in the face of adversity. Today we decided to share some impactful initiatives: * Cybersecurity Boost With everyone on high alert, companies like Check Point Software Point and CyberArk have offered free trials of their cybersecurity tools to help protect important systems. They've been working hand in hand with the police to tighten up national security. * Mental Health Support Understanding the emotional toll, platforms like Myndlift and Telesofia Medical have expanded their telehealth services. They’re making online therapy more accessible so that anyone can find the mental health support they need during this tough time. * Aid and Relief Apps Startups have created apps that connect volunteers with local organizations that need help. Companies like Wix and Fiverr are making it super easy for people to pitch in and lend a hand. * Backing Local Businesses Apps like Buy Local have been developed to help consumers discover and support nearby shops, fostering a sense of community resilience. Venture capital firms and fintech companies established funds to provide low-interest loans and financial guidance to struggling businesses. OurCrowd launched initiatives to help local entrepreneurs secure funding more easily. * Community Building Networking groups are gathering to share resources and brainstorm recovery strategies. Organizations like Startup Nation Central and TechAviv are creating spaces for people to come together and discuss how to support one another. As we approach one year, the Israeli tech scene continues to come together to support each other and their communities. ECG AI is proven to saves lives! We use AI every day at Clalit Innovation, to create disease prediction models, diagnosis tools and treatment recommendations. But, this week, a new study out of Taiwan showed, for the first time, that using ECG AI-based alerts to warn physicians about high-risk patients led to an astounding 31% drop in mortality and an even bigger drop in cardiac death. The trial showcased how by implementing AI-based ECG alert tools, mortality risks decreased significantly within a month. Prof. Ran Balicer, shares in this interview: "At Clalit Innovation, we are pioneers in integrating AI tools in medicine and have been doing so for over a decade, this is a momentous occasion.
