"I try my hardest to turn everything I do into a funnel" One of the most important takeaways from our most recent episode with Tal Mishaly, Head of Product Marketing & Growth at Guardio, is that being measurable is a state of mind. If a channel you're owning, an asset you're maintaining, a project you're running - don't come with built-in measurements, come up with significant touch points that you can use to "draw" a linear funnel and identify cohorts. This might feel forced or even counter productive at first, but this will signal 3 things to your organization: 1. You're a deep-digger that doesn't settle for surface level insights 2. You're goal-driven even if those have to be manufactured from scratch 3. You won't think of saying "it's really difficult to measure so I didn't" So how do you handle the inherent difficulty in measuring PMM work (even more so in B2B)? How do you personally bridge the measurement gap?

The Truth about Middle East Policy of US and Israel… We’re deeply living the consequences of GREATER MIDDLE EAST initiative of US which means “GREATER ISRAEL” from the very beginning‼️‼️‼️ The Greater Middle East Initiative, often referred to as the “Greater Middle East (Israel) Project,” is a strategic policy framework introduced by the United States in the early 2000s, particularly during the George W. Bush administration. The initiative aimed to promote political, economic, and social reform in the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of South Asia. ⁉️🌍⁉️🌍⁉️🌍⁉️ Its stated goals included spreading democracy ‼️, advancing human rights ‼️, fostering economic liberalization‼️, and combating terrorism‼️ in these regions. (Post 1/2) Yesterday, I attended a G-CMO #Next meetup which covered the #VentureCapital POV regarding the position of #Marketing, mainly the #CMO. We were hosted by SysAid (Thank you Dorit Oren Israeli) and the first session was held by Michal 🦄 Sever and Daniel Cohen. The event shed light on the intricate dynamics between marketing leaders and venture capitalists (#VCs), highlighting essential strategies for CMOs to elevate their roles and impact within their organizations. 1. The VC Landscape: Roles and Expectations Michal Sever and Daniel Cohen emphasized the multifaceted responsibilities of VCs: a. Raising Capital: A significant portion of their time is devoted to securing funding. b. Supporting Portfolio Companies: VCs actively support the growth and development of their investments. c. Engaging with Startups: Constantly meeting new startups to identify the most promising opportunities. The unique perspective VCs bring from these interactions often reveals a critical gap: CEOs frequently pitch alongside their VP of Finance or CRO, but rarely include their CMOs. This omission underscores a common misunderstanding about the pivotal role of marketing in storytelling and strategic communication. 2. The Storytelling Deficit #CEOs understand the necessity of compelling #storytelling but often lack the skills to execute it effectively. CMOs are crucial in unifying the company's narrative across all stakeholders, yet they are frequently absent from high-level discussions. To earn a seat at the "big boys' table," CMOs must get access to company data to craft a cohesive and compelling story that resonates with investors (CEOs usually keep this information away from marketing). 3. The American-Israeli Dichotomy The speakers pointed out a cultural contrast: while Israelis excel in innovation, they often struggle with storytelling—a strength commonly found in their American counterparts. This gap in narrative proficiency can hinder the effectiveness of Israeli startups in the global market. 4. Marketing's Crucial Role in Investor Relations A key takeaway from the meeting was the "rule of thumb" for investor communications: All investor-facing materials (PPTs, documents, etc.) should go through marketing. These materials must not only be accurate but also visually impressive and compelling. 5. CMOs who have demonstrated extraordinary creativity—such as SodaStream’s Super Bowl ad, and (I prefer not to mention)'s unconventional marketing on adult sites—stand out to VCs. Innovative, out-of-the-box marketing strategies are what capture investor interest and confidence. 6. The Perils of Outsourcing Marketing Outsourcing marketing can lead to a disconnect within the organization, causing frustration and inefficiency. The trend of taking marketing out of house is seen as a major mistake to VCs, emphasizing the need for integrated, in-house marketing teams to maintain alignment and coherence in messaging.   **Clean2Go System Concludes Successful Pilot in Negev Region, Israel**   We are excited to announce the successful completion of the Clean2Go pilot project in the Negev region, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Chief Scientist of Israel.  This innovative waste management platform has showcased impressive results, marking a significant step forward in our efforts to enhance environmental sustainability.   Key Highlights from the Pilot:   -Waste Account Reduction: Two participating municipalities experienced a remarkable decrease in waste metrics, with reductions ranging from 20% to 27%. This demonstrates the effectiveness of Clean2Go in promoting efficient waste disposal practices.   Private Contractor Work Reduction: The pilot also managed to significantly reduce the workload of private contractors, showing a decrease of over 80%. This decrease not only reflects increased efficiency but also promotes a more sustainable model for waste management.   Enhanced Truck Efficiency: There was a notable improvement in the operational efficiency of cleaning trucks, with a 15% increase in their productivity in work mode. This optimization ensures that resources are utilized effectively, leading to better service delivery.   The positive outcomes of this pilot highlight Clean2Go’s potential to transform waste management practices across Israel.
