Take a look at this picture. It was taken today at our Salesforce offices in Tel-Aviv. It shows a few dozens of Salesforce Israel employees in one of our regular all-hands meetings. What's so special about that? Well, that picture was taken exactly 36 hours after Iran launched a massive aerial strike against Israel with 100s of UCAVs, ballistic and cruise missiles carrying about 60 tons(!) of explosives. Thanks to the Israeli Air force, the air forces of the US, UK, France, Jordan and others *and* Israeli innovation and engineering talent who developed the most advanced multi-layered air defense systems in the world - luckily that attack ended up with relatively low impact. It was a sleepless night for all us in Israel who got an advanced notice of the attack and basically spent that night bracing for impact. Now take another look at this picture. 36 hours later - People showing up at the office, talking to each other, having a few laughs, having meetings, discussing deadlines, solving business problems, discussing engineering problems, doing demos, having coffee and lunch together, having an all-hands meeting together. 36 hours ago we were bracing for impact of 60 tons of explosives that were about to fall out of the sky. Playtika has announced a definitive agreement to acquire SuperPlay, an Israeli mobile gaming company, for an initial price of $700 million, with an additional contingent consideration of up to $1.25 billion. The full value of the transaction, totaling up to $1.95 billion, depends on SuperPlay achieving specific financial milestones over the next three years. Founded in 2019 by former Playtika employees Gilad Almog, Eyal Netzer, and industry veteran Elad Drory, SuperPlay has quickly gained recognition for its popular mobile games Dice Dreams and Domino Dreams, with two more games currently in development. In 2024, both titles experienced rapid growth, amassing a combined 1.7 million average daily active users as of August. Following the acquisition, Gilad and Eyal will continue to lead SuperPlay as an independent studio within Playtika, reinforcing the resurgence of mobile gaming acquisition activity. "We see the acquisition of SuperPlay as a key move in strengthening Playtika’s leadership in mobile gaming, driving growth with scaled titles, and unlocking new opportunities, SuperPlay’s proven talent and success in navigating complex environments align seamlessly with our team.
