Feels like things are quickly escalating. ID bridging has been a problem for a long time with most folks having employed it not understanding what it actually did and who it impacted. If there was a revenue lift they were happy. As I've been saying for a while w.r.t a general need to shift towards more SaaS solutions, the fact these say business are literally incentivised to increase revenue creates a fine line between finding the most accurate match vs the most valuable one.. We need transparency and we need measurement across IDs. The new IAB spec is a great start. #idbridging #adtech

Karbo client, Subtext’s CEO and co-founder, Mike Donoghue, was featured in The Drum, discussing the impact of AI on the news industry and the importance of owning the relationship with your audience. Mike dives into the new reality for publishers as AI overviews and summaries take away valuable web traffic. “In Donoghue’s view, AI upheaval in the news industry is creating more pressure on journalists to become specialized subject matter experts. But it’s precisely this expertise, he says, that keeps readers engaged with human writers – and the publications they work with – in the era of generative AI.
