Cairn support the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan (AIPP) with our Pollinator Friendly planting and landscape works across all of our developments and have been acknowledged by the National Biodiversity Data Centre as a Pollinator Friendly business since 2018. At Cairn, we are committed to leading the way by demonstrating to the construction industry that together, we can make a positive impact on our world by building Passive Houses at scale. We see this as an opportunity to tackle the housing shortage and climate change at the same time. The Passive House standard is driven by Cairn's innovative and forward thinking mindset. Offering a dramatic reduction in a building’s carbon footprint, this standard provides constant comfort for homeowners and minimises, or even eliminates, the need for heating throughout the year. The result is lower energy bills and reduced financial stress for generations to come. Last weekend, the Cairn Community Games National Volunteer Awards 2024 brought together volunteers from across the country for a special night to celebrate and recognise their commitment to the organisation. Marie Crowe, of RTÉ, served as MC for the evening. The Awards saw a volunteer win from each county with Carmel Yore from Meath taking home the overall Cairn Community Games National Volunteer of the Year Award! It was a momentous occasion as it highlighted her dedication across various roles over 47 years. We are very proud to continue this partnership into 2025 and beyond as communities join together to participate in a variety of sports and cultural events. We look forward to celebrating the volunteers next year. Without their involvement, Cairn Community Games simply would not exist.
