Participants also took part in a retail safari led by store managers and commercial teams, as well as a food service safari featuring a guided tour by industry expert. The trip concluded with a memorable networking reception and showcase of Irish food and drink at the Irish Embassy in Riyadh's Diplomatic Quarter, highlighting the quality and heritage of Irish produce to key stakeholders in the region. Bord Bia has won a new €3.2 million contract to promote dairy in Asia for three years on behalf of the European Union. The ‘European Dairy – Where Nature Meets Science’ campaign, which will commence in June, 2025, aims to position the EU as a leader in the supply of value-add dairy ingredients to specialised nutrition manufacturing sector across China, Singapore and Vietnam. Ireland will be promoting the campaign on behalf of the EU 27, allowing Bord Bia to spotlight Ireland’s wide product portfolio and scope to provide bespoke innovative dairy-based solutions across China, Singapore and Vietnam, three priority Asian markets with a combined dairy import value of €16.2 billion per annum. Bord Bia International Insights Specialist Fionnuala Fahy contributed to the recent Mediaplanet UK & IE 'Future of Manufacturing and Sustainable Food' supplement in the Irish Independent, writing about the importance of transparency in food production, and the emphasis on food waste amongst consumers. Dairy media visit - Spinney's Journalist Karen D’Souza visited Ireland on a media visit to experience Irish dairy. The group visited six of Ireland's dairy clients. ProWine Mumbai - 11 Irish spirits suppliers exhibited at ProWine Mumbai, bringing Ireland’s finest whiskey, gin, rum, and cream liqueurs to one of the world’s fastest-growing spirits markets.

Bord Bia celebrates Franco-Irish trade relations at its 20th French trade reception in Paris! France is Ireland's fourth largest export market for food and drink with 2023 exports totalling over €1 billion. Over 200 people attended the event hosted by Irish Embassy Deputy Head of Mission Owen Feeney, with the participation of Bord Bia CEO, Jim O'Toole and Minister for State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon T.D.
