How do I use MEGA Rewind?

MEGA Rewind is a feature that lets you restore your files and folders back to a previous date. You can use it to restore deleted copies of your files and folders.

To rewind a folder

In a web browser

1. Click Drive on the left hand panel.
2. Right-click the folder that you want to rewind.
3. Click Rewind.
4. In the Rewind window on the right, select the date to rewind.
5. Click Rewind.

or

1. Click Drive on the left hand panel.
2. Open the folder that you want to rewind.
3. Click the Rewind button at the top of the screen.
4. In the Rewind window on the right, select the date to rewind.
5. Click Rewind.

Your deleted files will be restored to the folder. No files that have been added since that Rewind date will be removed; Rewind never deletes data.

Notes

• 30 days of data is stored for all accounts. Once you upgrade to a paid plan, we will start to store your data for longer (depending on the plan you purchase) so that in the future you can rewind up to 180 days.
• Rewind can’t be used in MEGA Lite.
• Rewinding multiple big folders at the same time could take a significant amount of time, so it is recommended to rewind one folder at a time.
• If any of your rewind data is subject to a copyright takedown or administrative action, it may not all be able to be recovered.
• To recover files deleted more than 180 days before you will have to contact support.
