  • Born Miley Ray Cyrus on Nov. 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee
     
  • Segueing from Disney child star Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus scored her first chart-topping album as a solo artist with 2008's Breakout. "Party In The U.S.A.," a track from her 2009 EP, The Time Of Our Lives, hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
     
  • Cyrus' fourth studio album, Bangerz, was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 57th GRAMMY Awards in 2015. At the 51st GRAMMYs in 2009, Cyrus made her GRAMMY stage debut with Taylor Swift, performing "Fifteen."
     
  • Did you know? In 2007 Cyrus charted her first Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hit as a solo artist with "Ready, Set, Don't Go," a duet with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.  
     
  • In 2014 Cyrus formed the nonprofit Happy Hippie Foundation, with a mission of rallying "young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable populations."
