Our team at Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD)'s 7th Annual Forum We were honored to participate in VIOD’s 7th Annual Forum, where our CIO, Vu Quang Thinh, joined the panel discussion “Investing in Corporate Governance: Why Is It Necessary?”. He emphasized that strong corporate governance is a cornerstone for attracting institutional investment. As Vietnam progresses toward achieving emerging market status, companies need to prioritize enhancing public disclosures—particularly ESG reporting—and ensure all their public contents are available in English to appeal to international investors. A highlight of the event was VIOD’s launch of the VNCG50 Scorecard, supported by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam and the Vietnam Stock Exchange. This innovative tool will guide listed companies in aligning their corporate governance practices with Vietnam’s stock market development strategy for 2030. By narrowing the corporate governance gap with other Southeast Asian markets, the VNCG50 Scorecard marks an important step toward fostering investor confidence and sustainable growth.
