The Aldbrough Hydrogen Pathfinder (AHP) development for SSE, will integrate electrolytic hydrogen production (c.35MWe), salt cavern storage (c.20 GWh), and low carbon hydrogen power by way of an Open Cycle Gas Turbine (c.50 MW). SSE Aldbrough Hydrogen Pathfinder Project (AHP) consists of an 35MW Electrolyser system, underground hydrogen storage solution and a 50MW hydrogen fired Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT). Electrolytic hydrogen will be produced from a Proton Exchange Membrane Electrolyser (PEM) using power sourced from the grid and raw water from a borehole. The raw water will be demineralized in the Water Treatment System. The Hydrogen is then compressed in LP and HP compressors for the storage purpose. Salt cavern storage will be secured by converting one of Aldbrough’s existing natural gas storage caverns (Aldbrough 1). The produced and stored hydrogen will be Purified and Dried in the De-oxo unit for proper combustion of fuel. Hydrogen is then distributed via a dedicated pipeline to the OCGT for which the feed will be Hydrogen blended with Natural Gas and will export power back to the grid in times of low renewable power availability.
The Aldbrough Hydrogen Pathfinder Project shall provide H2 to be stored in an existing cavern. The cavern will be repurposed to store hydrogen instead of natural gas.

The two main entrances will be linked internally by circulation space through the ground floor forming a ‘street’ accessing the atrium spaces. The floors will be completely open to the atrium affording views across the office areas.

External features include a slate tile roof, masonry envelope, curtain walling aluminium windows and a Brise Soleil system. Internal finishes include porcelain floor tiling and decorative wall panels to the entrance atria with glazed roofs.

The ventilation to the perimeter cellular offices and meeting rooms will be managed solely through the windows and automated vents. External air-source heat pumps will provide the heating via under floor heating. Weniger anzeigen

A £16 million redevelopment of the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth, Main Contractor ISG – A joint venture between the theatre and University of Portsmouth . The project will see the reinstatement of a 30m fly tower at the rear of the theatre, some 40 years after the stage house burned down and was subsequently demolished. The project will also increase the theatre’s capacity from 500 to 700 seats and a mixture of concrete frame and steel frame structure in 4 story.
