This study expands on the concept of the learning transfer system and reports on the validation of an instrument to measure factors in the system affecting transfer of learning. The Learning Transfer System Inventory (LTSI) was developed and administered to 1,616 training participants from a wide range of organizations. Exploratory common factor analysis revealed a clean interpretable factor structure of sixteen transfer system constructs. Second-order factor analysis suggested a three-factor higher order structure of climate, job utility, and rewards. The instrument development process, factor structure, and use of the LTSI as a diagnostic tool in organizations are discussed.© 2000 Jossey-Bass, A Publishing Unit of John Wiley & Sons, Inc. https://lnkd.in/eanXs_hJ

This post is co-created by Shashi Matta and Maximilian Bauer Our Summer School at WFI - Ingolstadt School of Management at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt concluded last weekend, with the in-person segment of this #Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (#BIP). It was a dizzyingly packed week that left a deep impression. Normally, I post about all facets of corporate innovation, but today I'm happy to announce great news from a completely different area: Matthias Anderski, Tim Ströbel from Universität Bayreuth and I just published a paper on #athletebranding in European Sport Management Quarterly! 🥵 Why does this make me feel proud? Because it was such a looong way to the final ‘accept’ and academic researchers may feel with us: ▶️ 2016(!): First idea concept & research question - “How can athletes (mainly from niche sports) can leverage brand building to finance their careers (e.g. via social media)?” ▶️ 2017: First interviews conducted ▶️ 2017: Conference paper with the working title “Athletes as entrepreneurs” ▶️ 2018-2024: Submissions, revision rounds, rejections, another study and almost endless re-writing ▶️2024: Acceptance & publication 💡 The paper adds to our understanding of how athletes position themselves as brands (often called ‘self-marketing’). We found three different athlete types: #brandmanager, #brandsupporter, and #brandantagonist – and they think and act differently with respect to their brand building efforts. It was great working with you guys on this project! #publicationalert #academicresearch #athletes Citation: Panthen, M., Anderski, M., & Ströbel, T. (2024). ‘I wouldn’t call myself a brand, but many people say my name could serve as a brand.’Exploring a conceptualization and typology of athlete brands. European Sport Management Quarterly, 1-22.

I can see AI as an aid in Conflict Resolution. As someone experienced in Civil, Commercial and Workplace Mediation as well as Non-Violent Communication for handling conflict, the most important factor is effective observation and capturing of the problem space. Mediation is a vital prerequisite in mature forms of coaching -as a coach you are helping mediate a coachee's inner conflict or inertia so they can come to a resolution on how they realise their potential in a compassionate, empowering way. Something that Prof. Dr. Harald Geißler suggests when using AI in coaching sessions.

✨ 2 intensive and inspiring days at #DMEXCO2024 and #DigitalX in Cologne are behind me, and I am still excited about the fascinating conversations and presentations I experienced. 💬🚀 The transformation over the past two years was clearly noticeable: What started as ideas around #AI has evolved beyond initial use cases. Today, we are diving deep into the "engine room" to better understand and utilize AI. 🤖🔍 The talks on societal developments and the opportunities AI brings were particularly thought-provoking. 💡🌍 A highlight for me were the presentations and discussions by Vicktoria Klich, Daniel Hulme, Anja Förster, Maximilian Then and of course Michael Fritz their insights especially stood out to me. 🎤💥 AI not only brings technical innovations but also opens the door to deeper societal questions: "What would I do if I didn't have to work for money?" – for many, the answer is a desire to contribute and give back, when everyday life allows it. 🙌❤️ What are your thoughts about it? And if you want to make a direct impact right away, feel free to donate here. Viva con Agua #wearefutureready #AI #Innovation #Digitalization #SocietalImpact #PromptingTheFuture

It was a great pleasure attending this yearly FutureCongress.digital in #Wolfsburg, meanwhile a recurring must-go event for all active in Digitalization, Mobility and city transformation processes. One of the many take-aways was the request speakers on stage and participants had alike to stop creating new initiatives, new "Lighthouse Projects" and "Lighthouse Programmes", but to simply do the things and become operational. There was a common understanding that Germany and Europe require real implementations and sustainable business models. This was just music in my ears. With Dynamo | The European Cloud Alternative, we are exactly doing this: implementing on a European level a federated cloud and business model leveraging on many of Europe's initiatives and existing Cloud Service Providers (#CSP). This model allows European providers to build on top of their collective capabilities while retaining their independence, ultimately fostering #DigitalSovereignty and ensuring European businesses to have access to comprehensive #cloud solutions that respect and address local needs. It looks like we just need to grap the solutions already in front of our feet... Thanks to Dalibor Dreznjak, Anatoli Seliwanow and the whole team for the interesting talks and networking opportunties throughout the two days.

My first Podcast 💪🏻 came out today! Thank you Eliot Mannoia and Manuela Machner for having me! I really enjoyed sharing my insights on opportunities and challenges of #AI in our economy and society. AI will certainly induce a big #transformation of processes and operating models in organizations as impact well as our daily lives very deeply. It is presenting so many new opportunities, enables new business models and has the power to #disrupt entire business categories. In a few years, AI will be an integral part of our everyday routines and be as normal as using a smartphone today. Listen in and let me know what you think.😉 #DisruptTodayThriveTomorrow #innovation #technology #change #digitization #digitalhumanism #experiencedesign #1030innovation

📰 Fresh out of press - our new article on #corporateforesight published in Marketing Review St. Gallen! 📰 Julia Vögele, Antje Bierwisch and I argue that it doesn't take much effort at the beginning to start your #corporateforesight journey. There are many good sources freely available and it's recommendable to combine different CF methods to get a holistic picture of the #future. From our perspective, the real value of CF unfolds in collaborative and participatory activities where a variety of views come together. Our research builds on previous work from Jan Oliver Schwarz, Rupert Hofmann, and other colleagues on #customerforesight published in this journal. It shows that a multitude of foresight practices gain more and more traction in companies of every size. Thank you Susanna Maurer for supporting us with this article. Unser jüngstes Werk ist übersetzt - our recent work has now also been translated 💪. In this book, Michael Heike, Daniel Sigrist and I get to the bottom of current developments in the field of organizational design and present them in a plausible way with application-oriented examples. At the same time, we do not forego a systemic and system-theoretical basis without compromising on application orientation. Prof Dave Snowden (The Cynefin Company) contributed an inspiring foreword! From the back cover: Organizations of all kinds create a sense of purpose and sometimes incomparable performance that individuals cannot achieve alone. We examine the developments and changes that organizations should make in order to be successful in today‘s complex organizational environment. We explain models and concepts of organizational design, highlight the important role played by #agilemanagement and #selforganization and reflect on the consequences these concepts have for practical organizational work. Recent customer problems solved with the help of a Dragon Suit programme. IN-PERSON WORKSHOP (EU robotics client): Problem-solving & communication between German and Chinese sides struggled. Germans saw Chinese managers as unreliable, Chinese saw Germans as slow and picky. Approach: Intercultural briefings and forming cross-cultural functional pairs for effective virtual collaboration. VIRTUAL WORKSHOP (Chinese/EU automotive client): Chinese executives prepared for 1-3 months in EU countries with little idea about diversity between countries and industries like banking, engineering, HR services (mostly state-owned on the Chinese side). Approach: We prepared both sides with social/cultural awareness and straightforward communication skills. PERSONAL ADVISORY (EU tech client): Market entry and solution localisation in China & APAC required cultural insight and professional network that EU managers didn’t have. The tech solution is highly consumer-focused but Asian consumers act differently from the firm’s legacy market. Approach: Auditing marketing materials and negotiation for “culture traps”, and connecting the firm with potential local partners in the industry. Reach out if I can help you or your team with similar issues.
