#NeurodiversityWins Polvagal theory explains pretty comprehensively truth of the common spectra we all humans traverse at our own strategy based on the dice, we are rolled with our epigenetic and our genetic make up. ACE model shows as well as others. Environment isn’t everything but it isn’t nothing. Everyone has a temporal pattern. Professional medical people and others who make money off of “abnormal”labels and associated treatments, they want to map it and label behavior clusters, you go ahead. Sure we can have medical definitions. We can have educational definitions. We can have our own signature of how we traverse our Nervous systems which obviously span a spectrum. Even in a day the late great Israeli Daniel Kahneman showed our nervous systems operate completely differently before vs. after lunch! Abnormalizing behavior is the problem. And that’s why positive psychology resulted (Seligman), because attention and resultant beneficence bias towards medicalizing behaviors has caused a lot of sad bigotry and focus on what’s differently abnormal. Plus this trash article: You know you lost the argument when you start being defensive about being labeled Nazi in the essay. Many times. That’s pretty pathetic. I had an 800,000 people view the common spectra chart that I shared with my 6000 followers here. I know at least 200 of you have MD and PhD’s in the relevant field and I would love your opinion. Narratives are important and valuable because they create identity. You need your personal story for your job, your personal life, and everything in between. But one day you will notice: your story, your narrative is blocking you. Your identity gets in your way more than it helps you. You're not getting anywhere. You may change routines and habits, but your attitude to life and therefore your quality of life remains the same. True change occurs in consciousness, not in the external world. You can renovate your apartment, but if your consciousness is the same, your quality of life remains the same. If you just paint over mold, you will soon see it again. In this podcast episode I talk about how you can proactively manage, control and direct your thoughts. These in turn depend on your level of consciousness and awareness. Specifically, this means that you have to increase and sharpen your awareness so that your reality changes. Imagine that all children born in 2025 have no history lessons in the traditional sense. Neither in Russia, Germany nor America are the last thousands of years discussed - no perspective is taken as if history never existed. So there are no narratives of perpetrators, victims, rescuers - and therefore no need for revenge or forgiveness. Use this for your work-life flow: ⏩️ What do you want to forget? ⏩️ Who do you want to forgive? ⏩️ Which narrative takes you further? ⏩️ Which narrative is holding you back? ⏩️ Which identity is best for your future? The entire history of the world and therefore your life is a construct that is based on unconscious and conscious beliefs. When you transform the unconscious into the conscious, you get completely new perspectives and possibilities! Don't let anyone tell you that you're too old or young, too stupid or too smart, too big or too small, too whatever. Focus, persistence and willpower in combination with expanding consciousness, changing perspectives and clear visions are power energy! Basic Mindset: Power over Force! What is fake news? Fake news or information disorder is false or misleading information (misinformation, including disinformation, propaganda, and hoaxes) presented as news. Fake news often has the aim of damaging the reputation of a person or entity, or making money through advertising revenue. Everything, especially in the media, is framing, labeling and a matter of the perspective. Only energies and mindsets are real! There is no absolute truth; you can only approach it by changing your perspective. This applies to the individual work-life flow, but also to collective and global events. Artificial intelligence is finally giving the power to people. We are no longer dependent on the favor and grace of certain people or groups of people. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧-𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲: 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵? The T-profile - a mix of deep expertise and broad knowledge - has been hyped as the ultimate framework for years. Efficient? Sure. Versatile? Definitely. But here’s the real question: in today’s fast-paced, specialized world, is it still cutting it? My take: Not really. While it works in certain roles, it often falls flat in high-pressure, complex fields like finance or accounting. Here’s why: - Expecting one person to be both a master and a jack of all trades? Unrealistic. - It piles on pressure, leads to burnout, and forces compromises in quality. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚? Stop overloading individuals. Split the load. - Specialists go deep. - Generalists connect the dots. - Collaboration brings it all together. That’s the foundation of the Z-model: a framework I believe fits today’s demands far better. This post is just the beginning. 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲: 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐡-𝐬𝐨-𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥. This topic came up in the very constructive and intimate DCV – Deutscher Coaching Verband e.V. meet up the other day (a huge thank you to you Saskia Sattler for making the coaching bubble a connected one 🤍) So let's talk about the "black sheep" of the coaching community – job coaching. It's often seen as the “lower” art of coaching. (Yes, I’ve heard it all – “It’s not real coaching,” “You work too much for too little,” blah blah blah.) But here’s the thing: job coaching is MAGIC. ✨ It’s not about telling people what they should do. It’s about being a talent cheerleader for people who didn’t get their shot, got overlooked, or landed in settings that dimmed their light and took out the light bulb. Job coaching is where the real stuff happens: ✅ Helping people realise that they’re more than a rejection email. ✅ Supporting folks in making bold, inward changes that ripple outward. ✅ Creating tiny revolutions one résumé at a time. Yes, it’s work AND it’s hard inner work and more and more it's about mental health as well. And yes, it’s not always glamorous, sometimes even painful on a whole new level. But it’s rewarding in ways no “fancier” coaching label can match. Because when someone starts to see oneself as the wonderful human they are, they will not just find a job where they are able to shine, they will change the system. So here’s to job coaching and Fired Up Space who are seeing the value in it as well: the misunderstood art of believing in talent that deserves to rise. If you’ve ever doubted its power, let me tell you – it’s real. And it’s worth celebrating. Examples of toxic vibes at work include: ➡️ constant dramas ➡️ no working materials available ➡️ No work-life flow ➡️ too little salary for too much performance ➡️ No clear communication: double binds ➡️ no clear work orders ➡️ Bossing, bullying, gaslighting are everyday life ➡️ High school clique behavior takes place instead of professionalism ➡️ poor appreciation ➡️ Psychological terror also outside of the working time: online and offline ➡️ Slander and character assassination ➡️ Factual feedback is impossible Maybe you're thinking to yourself: wtf? Just listen to this podcast episode and if you experience something like this as an employee: run away quickly, otherwise you are endangering your mental health and your entire future! WEDNESDAY MOTIVATION Check Up from the Neck Up Hello #LinkedInCommunity, How has your day started? Things going well or do you wish you had stayed in bed? Yesterday, Tuesday, I was favored to have a great conversation with my friend and fantastic business sparring partner Jana Droessler. I love Jana because she cares enough to not blow smoke and misrepresent what she does. But I can tell you what she does is golden. Thus, she and I agreed a month or so ago to revisit my goals and strategies for my business. Now I am doing exactly what I coach my clients to do, i.e., to re-evaluate on a regular basis how well their business is performing relative to their goals. With the end of the year coming, I want to be positioned for quantum growth in 2025. Each year since 2021 has been better than the year before, but now it is time to make the shifts that will serve my vision for impact, lifestyle, and profitability. So, I had high expectations for our conversation. In fact I felt a bit smug because I answered all of the pre-meeting questions which confirmed how much progress I've made since January 2023. I was not prepared to have my plans picked apart. The expression of the one child speaks to how I felt in the first 20 minutes of our call. I didn't like it. I wanted to justify those plans. I silently pushed back. Then my self-awareness kicked in and I realized that the 10-year old me was back trying to drive the bus. Happily, I retook control of me and put the 10-year old in "Time-Out". Jana and I went on to have a fruitful discussion, one that led me to clearly see that my roadmap might have brought some returns, but the price I might have paid was not worth it. It is nice to have someone tell you like it is. How about you? Do you have someone who can talk some sense into you? And if you do, are you really hearing them or is the 10-year old version of you driving your bus? ---------- P.S.: Because of that conversation today, you will be seeing some changes. Change is good! Integrating digital and #patientcentered solutions with each other, getting diverse partners on board — from public institutions to startups and a Primary Health Care Unit 🏥, testing and feedbacking, among other things. Projects like preDIA - Diabetes Virtual Care of the Future Health Lab and partners are doing exactly that, while centering their work on high-risk populations. As a neurodivergent & disabled human who's been in close touch with chronic illness, I can confirm the obvious: we can't be thinking of health in absolute arrangements and struggle-devoid spheres. An example of an employer who walks the talk. 🚶🏼 🍍☕Simon Mader often posts about employers focusing on what they can extract from their team and not what they can offer (sad that he has to state the obvious - the free coffee and fruit basket just ain't cutting it, but that's another topic for another day). 🧠It looks to me from the outside that this employee-focused, mindset has infused the entire business culture at ADBAKER with coolness and Mehrwert. ❓After looking through the open positions, I can only see two points that should always be includiert...if they're not already secret special bonuses ;) 🤔Can you guess what they might be? 🥨🎨So if you speak German, are a creative type, and want to work in/near Germany's awesomest city - check out their openings. P.S. I noticed the cool kids nowadays are using Anglizismen, so I droppt a couple Germanisms/Neologisms in this post. Am I doing it right?
