🌟 Supplier Spotlight Octavia Carbon 🌟    Octavia Carbon, the Global South’s first Direct Air Capture (#DAC) company, is leading the way in innovative climate solutions. By integrating DAC technology with Kenya’s geothermal resources, they are developing a scalable, cost-effective, and permanent CO₂ removal system that addresses climate change while fostering sustainable development in the Global South. Set in Kenya’s Rift Valley, Project Hummingbird is a partnership between Octavia's pilot DAC facility and Cella’s Geological Storage plant. The project is launching commercial operations this December. 🌍 Creating local impact: Project Hummingbird is designed with community impact in mind. The initiative will generate local employment and reinvest in education and apprenticeships, empowering residents with skills to build sustainable, climate-resilient livelihoods. ⚡ Boosting renewable energy: Octavia Carbon’s approach strengthens Kenya’s renewable energy landscape. By tapping into the nation’s geothermal potential, the company contributes to more robust energy infrastructure and potentially lower electricity costs, benefiting both urban and rural communities. Octavia Carbon’s partnership with Carbonfuture is set to transform DAC carbon removal by implementing real-time data tracking across the entire carbon removal process. All related CDR data will be collected and processed by Carbonfuture's dMRV system, ensuring integrity from the initial carbon capture to the final storage.    As Martin Freimüller, founder of Octavia Carbon, shares: "Combining our DAC technology with Carbonfuture’s innovative dMRV system establishes a new standard for transparency and trust in carbon removal, building a model we hope will inspire others globally."   🚀 The outlook for Octavia Carbon is ambitious.
