None of this would have been possible without our amazing team, customers and partners. Rigitech's melting moment! 🧀 To celebrate our year-end team dinner, we swapped propellers for potatoes and our Eiger drone for deliciousness! How? We had raclette in the office. Because nothing says teamwork more cheesy than sharing a warm, gooey meal with your best crew. Of course, for those of us based in Switzerland, there is no better way to embrace the Alpine spirit🇨🇭🫕! Moments like this remind us of the importance of coming together not only to innovate and fly higher, but also to laugh, share and make memories as a team. Cheers to a great RigiTeam! 🥂✨

🛫 Drones are set to revolutionize healthcare transportation in Europe! 🚑 At the event "Integration of Drones in Healthcare in Catalonia: Experiences in Medical Logistics and New Applications in Clinical and Emergency Cases", key insights were shared on how drones can significantly enhance the transportation of medical samples 🩸.  🔬 Why using drones? During road transport, the quality of medical samples can be affected by long transit times whereas end-to-end drone deliveries can be done in less than 10 minutes. Additionally, shock/vibration together with unexpected delays caused by traffic jams can cause clots and degradation of the medical samples. So, drones help maintain sample quality by reducing the breakdown of red blood cells thus resulting in faster and more accurate medical diagnostics. 📍New Successful Trial: In June 2024, a successful pilot route from a primary point of care to Hospital d'Olot saw a 74% reduction in transportation time, improving sample quality while reducing CO2 emissions by 98%. Last week in Badalona, a new successful round of medical deliveries was met underlining the main benefits of this revolutionary transport system, namely roof-to-roof deliveries. 🚀 RigiTech's drone technology is at the heart of this world first a fully automated drone airport integrated within a hospital function in Belgium in partnership with Helicus 🏥 🇧🇪 Medical samples were transported 26 km from Dixmuide to Ypres and seamlessly handed over to the hospital's without any human intervention! ⏱️ A task that once took 45 minutes can now be completed in just 14 minutes. This milestone demonstrates the efficiency, accuracy, and seamless integration of drone delivery with existing hospital infrastructure!

Les Centres Hospitalier de Valenciennes et Maubeuge continuent d’innover avec le projet #AIRSHAB, en partenariat avec Délivrone. 🎯 Le projet #AIRSHAB, qui vise à développer un nouveau mode de transport d'échantillons par drone, a franchi une nouvelle étape importante durant l’année 2024. En octobre 2023, des vols de nuit, ont permis de tester la faisabilité technique du transport d'échantillons par drone entre les 2 sites du laboratoire. Trois semaines de tests de jour sont prévues du lundi 02 décembre au vendredi 20 décembre entre les deux établissements. 📆 Durant ces 3 semaines de vols, vous pourriez voir des drones survoler l’espace aérien entre Maubeuge et Valenciennes. A worldwide first delivered, up & running ! 🥳 Automated drone airport fully integrated in an operational hospital 🏥 Helicus transports human medical samples from Diksmuide clinic to the central hospital lab in Ypres (26 km land route). These were offloaded and delivered deep inside the hospital building in the clinical laboratory via the hospital's pneumatic tube system. Basically, after loading the medical samples in Diksmuide, the clinical samples were delivered without any human intervention. What could be a ride that takes 45 minutes (no certainty), now took 14 minutes (into the hands of the laboratory technician). No non-medical personnel ever even touched the sample container. The key outcome was the laboratory team statement: "We did not notice a difference versus a sample being delivered from within the hospital itself". That is an amazing result ! What used to be a 25 km trip taking 45 minutes is now reduced to just 15 minutes by drone, bringing significant efficiency gains and cost savings for the clinic!
