The International Olympic Committee is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), the Worldwide Olympic Partners (TOP Partners) and Media Rights-Holders. It also collaborates with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations. The IOC’s vision is to build a better world through sport. Its missions are to ensure the uniqueness and regular celebration of the Olympic Games, to put athletes at the heart of the Olympic Movement and to promote the Olympic values in society.

Welcome to Zeynep Dechelotte who has been appointed Esports Associate Director at the IOC, taking up her role in November 2024. In this new position, she will lead the development of #esports for the IOC, supporting and implementing the organisational strategy as set out by Olympic Agenda 2020+5. Gencaga Dechelotte will also oversee the review and planning of the Olympic Esports Games with internal and external partners.
