This enhances privacy but restricts testing capabilities like GTM's preview mode. It's a necessary trade-off for data protection. 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝: Although you can't use GTM preview mode, try these alternatives to test your setup post-publishing: ➔ Publish tags to the live Shopify site ➔ Test and validate your configured events using Shopify’s Customer Events Helper tool within Shopify. ➔ Use the Shopify Customer Events Helper tool to find your pixel ID, then inspect the iFrame in the browser's developer console to confirm event population in the dataLayer. ➔ Use GA4's Debug View to check if events are firing post-publishing These workarounds can help validate your implementation despite limitations. Not perfect, but effective! It may feel limiting, but it’s a reflection of Shopify’s commitment to data security.
