Showcasing the Distillery District while showcasing September 2024 real estate statistics 📈🤩 While we’re seeing an increase in numbers across the board, my personal experience in the Toronto real estate scene adds further nuance. Particularly in the condo market, I’ve noticed an increase in activity. Despite the overall cooling of the market, condos and properties that are marketed well continue to sell quickly. 🏙️💨 That being said, it remains a negotiable market for buyers, provided they can meet affordability requirements. Freehold homes, however, present a more varied picture, depending on the area. Minister François- Philippe Champagne , Innovation, Science and Industry, Government of Canada. 👉 93.5% target reached for 50/10 connectivity in Canada, the biggest challenge “we want Canadians to feel the positive change,” data says one thing, but do Canadians feel that yet? Such a great blog post which I suggest every founder read. So many golden nuggets in here. But one that stands out: What are some qualities that you see in the most successful founders? Well, I love smart people, with high IQs, and high EQs, that’s great. But, of the founders that I see, the highest correlation with success is with their grit quotient. They’re not necessarily the smartest people in the world, but their grit and determination are unbelievable. They never give up and always find a way to blast through any obstacle they face. It’s the mentality of “succeed or die” – it’s that kind of determination that wins. #gritcotient #grit #founder #highperformancemindset

Excited to share a conversation I had with Rupert Whiting on the Treble Victor Podcast, where I talk about my transition from military life to entrepreneurship and my journey to co-founding Appello Inc. I've been a member of the Treble Victor Group since 2012, and over the past 12 years, this community of veterans has been a huge part of my growth. There's two books I wish every business leader would read... 'Playing to Win' by Roger Martin should be a mandatory read for every leader at all levels in an organisation. However, it should be coupled with 'The Five Dysfunctions of a Team', (https://lnkd.in/gvH3Xthv), by Patrick Lencioni. As Roger says in many of his books and interviews, "our strategy is not what we say it is, it's what we do", ensuring the team commits to and "does" the choices in the Playing to Win strategy cascade while obvious is likely to be more difficult than making the choices for most organisations. 'The Five Dysfunctions of a Team' is written as a story to clearly bring to life challenges of truly collaborating to play to win all leadership teams experience and must resolve, (not to mention the employees reporting to these leaders). Plus it can be read in a weekend... :-) What are the mandatory reads for you?
