At the WRDSB Board Meeting on Monday night, Trustees and new Chair Maedith Radlein took a moment to share their gratitude and appreciation with outgoing Chairperson Weston for her commitment and service. November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, as first designated by the United Nations in 1981. Learn how we can all take a stand against gender-based violence.

Students in Kitchener secondary schools are hard at work on their climate initiative, thanks to the funding provided by the City of Kitchener Youth Climate Action Fund. At Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School, the Student Climate Council is working to build a walk-in run for its sustainable agriculture initiative. Once completed, the student coop will house three Buff Orpington chickens. This project aims to reduce waste at KCI, teach students about caring for animals, and support culinary and food classes at the school.
