About us
Albertans Protecting Albertans! In a world littered with security companies, what sets us apart? Maxx Security Services was founded in 2021 based upon a dream to be different. We are culture focused and embrace diversity. Our team believes in family and community. We have all been witness to subpar management and practices, feeling like a number and not an important piece of the organization. The result is high turnover and unhappy dissatisfied staff. For you, the client, it means not knowing who your guard will be each day and encountering poorly trained personnel requiring micromanaging. Our goal is to provide the best services possible throughout the province of Alberta. We have been supported by the amazing people of this province and we want to give back and protect them. With a diverse background in security and management across our executive team, we utilize up to date training and equipment to give any client whether large or small, an outstanding security experience. We pride ourselves in giving back to the community and believe that if you are blessed, you are to bless back. We are out and about in the homeless and senior community giving back whenever we can. To effectively provide security services you must understand the communities you will be working with. In addition, we support and advocate for our military and emergency frontline workers.

🚨 REMINDER: Avoid using debit cards at outdoor, public card readers! If your credit card gets skimmed, you can cancel it and get a new one. If your debit card gets skimmed, scammers may have access to your chequing and savings accounts. Definitely stick to using credit cards at publicly accessible card readers! 🚨 This single (completely free) safety tip, can save your life: Lock locks. “Oh I’m just running from my car back into my house to grab something” - doesn’t matter; lock locks along the way. Locks on your car, your home, garage, etc. There are far too many instances where someone didn’t bother to use a lock and didn’t realize they were being watched and/or followed. Things can happen within seconds.

The days are short and dark - don’t miss these safety tips! 🌙 🔦 Keep out the earbuds and have your phone handy (but don’t have your nose buried in it, so that you are aware of your surroundings!). 🔦 Listen to your gut. If something or someone feels off, switch up your route and consider if there is someone you can call. 🔦 No matter how efficient the shortcut, stick to brightly lit paths whenever possible. 🔦 Try to plan your outings in the dark in such a way that you can buddy-up with someone else. Be sure to like & share this post, and let us know in the comments if you have any other safety tips for getting around safely in the dark!

We are Maxx Security Services, a security guard company based in Alberta, Canada. Our company grew out of a frustration of how this industry can be (unprofessional, lack of training, sleeping on the job, discriminatory, etc.). As well as a love for our community and gratitude for how much support and kindness we’ve received in times of need. So, we put our “money where our mouth is” and started Maxx Security. We are incredibly thankful for what we get to do! We offer 100% free, no-obligation consultations. Visit maxxsecurityservices.ca to get in touch and make use of this offer!

THREE QUICK, EASY WAYS to improve your awareness in every situation! ONE: When you go into a new room or space (even if you are outdoors), take note of multiple exit points. If a chaotic situation breaks out, you’ll be more likely to make a quick, successful exit. TWO: Briefly take a look at the people around you. Does anyone look potentially ‘off’? What does their body language say? THREE: Last but not least: put the phone away!! So many people are completely unaware, easily become victims and are caught off guard by emergency situations because they have their nose buried in their phones. Be sure to like & share this one!

‘Tis the season…for crazy scams! Not to be a rain cloud on the most wonderful time of the year, but remember that Christmas time is also busy season for scammers. Be aware of “postal service” or “courier” text messages that could be scams, emails, maybe even in-person scams at your front door. Note also that most of these texts and emails can look fully professional and match the real company’s branding (ex.: Amazon, Canada Post, etc.). Never click or tap on any links, enter in your address or credit card number again from a link, etc. Always log into your account with the company manually and take a look. Be sure to share this reminder & give us a follow!
