About us

YMCA Europe is a working fellowship to strengthen movements where people grow in body, mind, and spirit. The YMCA, founded in 1844 and having over 45 million members, is the oldest and largest youth organization in the world. We dream of a European YMCA Movement - inspired by its Christian ecumenical mission - moved by an open and creative spirit, and actively involving young people - playing an active and prophetic role in today's global and local realities - uniting each other to realize the YMCA mission in the diversity of national contexts which is - challenging and relevant for young people both a sign of God's Reign and Love on earth.

  • ✨The 18th of December is a special day for us - International Migrants Day - celebrated across the world. 💡Throughout human history, migration has been a courageous expression of the individual’s will to overcome adversity and live a better life. ⚡Today, globalization has greatly increased the number of people who immigrate. Mixed with elements of emergency and complexity, the challenges and difficulties of international migration require enhanced cooperation and collective action among countries and regions. 🎯YMCA's top priority is to advocate for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers worldwide, through services, upskilling programs, community-integration initiatives and digitalisation programs for all: https://lnkd.in/dPrKxSqj
