We had an incredible session exploring various ways to capture telemetry within Power Apps, both in Canvas and Model-Driven Apps. Nicolò Ferranti delved into Low-Code methods as well as High-Code plugins in C#, demonstrating how to load assemblies into #dataverse to capture events and also a PCF (PowerApps Component Framework) control in ReactJs with monitoring embedded. Angelo Gulisano showcased Power Automate, highlighting its seamless integration with an Azure Function written in NodeJs for capturing telemetry data. All telemetry is available in #azure Application Insights, providing integrated analytics and insights into user flow and app monitoring! Australian Payments Plus (AP+) has completed the design stage of its Confirmation of Payee (COP) service. This service will reduce payments related scams. Prior to making an account to account payment, the Payor will be able to confirm that the Account Name on the payment matches the actual Account Name of the Payee's bank account. This is just the foundation for what may utilise complex matching rules to drive to eliminate other types of fraudulent activity related to payments. The rollout by AP+ of this service for the Australian marketplace, brings Australia on par with countries where COP has already been rolled out including UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and New Zealand. In this morning's technical workshop for Microsoft Student Accelerator ANZ Varsha Bubathi talked about Building a #PowerAutomate Cloud Flow Varsha is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect in the #PowerPlatform business. In this episode Varsha discussed Power Automate, emphasizing its role in automating tasks across different apps and services using #lowcode. She explained the two types of flows within Power Automate: cloud flows and desktop flows, focusing on cloud flows for automating processes involving cloud services. Varsha detailed the components of building a flow, including triggers (automated, cloud, and scheduled) and actions, which define the tasks a flow performs. Demonstrations: Varsha demonstrated creating a flow using Power Automates copilot feature, aiming to send an email reminder of weekly events. She highlighted the ease of use and the potential for customization. Another demonstration involved integrating AI to automate extracting assignment dates from a subject guide and adding them to a calendar. The big winner in August was the demand for IT professionals. A big jump, up 16%, driven by large double digit increases in all states except NSW and QLD. While public sector recruitment was strong, the private sector demand was driving the index this month.
