The Practical Engineering winners came through with the chequered flag at the 2024 Xmas go karting event - Nicholas Jennings, Vimal Soni and Cooper Benz. As 2024 closes, we wish to thank our team, our suppliers and of course our clients, on making 2024 the biggest year for Practical in its near thirty-year history. The growth in our portfolio of works, the growth in the depth of our team, and the move to bring on a General Manager Phil Webster to support the Directors Jai Rice and Vimal Soni who each have tenures of over 10 years at Practical, has seen Practical Engineering elevate to new heights. Wishing everyone a safe and prosperous break. Let's do it all again but bigger and better in 2025. #engineeringteam

Robin Burford has been promoted to the new role of Lead Mechanical Designer with Practical Engineering. Our design team has grown strongly over the last six months and the work is stretching out well into 2025 already. Robin started with Practical on work experience in 2004, and whilst it's been twenty years and he's spent time abroad and in other lesser engineering companies along the way, he always returns to Practical. His experience and buildability of his designs means the services of his team are always in demand. Great stuff Robin. #engineeringteam

QMW Industries Pty Ltd put on a great open day showing their capability last week. Great to be up close to large scale mobile equipment like this. Attending for the team were our work experience student Cooper Benz, our Mechanical Engineer Brandon Hall and our GM Phil Webster. Well done to QMW on a well-attended event. #engineeringteam

Practical Engineering - Samuel Roubin has been promoted to Lead Mechanical Engineer and he looks pretty happy about it. Sam attained his RPEQ three years ago. This new role recognises Sam's technical excellence as a trusted RPEQ but equally his coaching and leadership of the engineering and design teams. Sam is a key partner for client delivery here at Practical. Great stuff Sam. #engineeringteam

Congratulations Tom Koorts on your impressive growth and success across different roles within Practical Engineering. Your versatility and dedication are truly inspiring, and it's wonderful to see how you've excelled and made such a positive impact in each position you've taken on
Practical Engineering - Tom Koorts has been with us for over ten years from entry level Mechanical Engineer, through to Senior Mechanical Engineer (RPEQ), to now being promoted into the role of Lead Mechanical Engineer. The new role recognises Tom's technical excellence as a trusted RPEQ but equally his successful leadership of his team and his drive to ensure quality outcomes for clients. I think the photo shows Tom is happy. Well deserved Tom. #engineeringteam
