We are excited to announce that eHealth NSW's Engage Outpatients program has been announced a finalist in the iTnews Benchmark Awards 2025, in the Best Health Project category. The iTnews Benchmark Awards recognise Australia's leading IT projects, celebrating the innovation and value that organisations deliver to government, industry and the community. The Engage Outpatients solution has been deployed in over 300 outpatient clinics across 17 hospitals and 7 LHDs, streamlining the referral process, improving communication and enhancing patient care. In today's staff spotlight, we're featuring Robert Gray, CA, CPA Head of Corporate Governance Risk and Compliance. His team helps eHealth NSW effectively manage risk to ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of our ICT systems, enabling health professionals to deliver better patient care across NSW. "An unreported risk can be a little like ignoring your tax return; it will play on your mind and become more problematic over time! We're thrilled to announce the Strategy and Innovation team, Sexual Behaviour – Context and Response Tool as winners of the eHealth NSW Pioneering Innovation Award. In response to the 2017 Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, the NSW Ministry of Health — with support from the eHealth NSW Strategy and Innovation team — developed the Sexual Behaviour – Context and Response Tool. This tool is designed to help NSW Government workers recognise and respond effectively to harmful sexual behaviours in children and young people. We can confirm, teamwork really does make the dream work! Congratulations to Cardiac AI design team for winning the eHealth NSW Partnering for Patient or Staff Experience Award 💓 The Cardiac AI design team, in collaboration with UNSW’s Centre for Big Data Research and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), is developing a heart failure dashboard designed to identify patients in hospital who are high risk of a further cardiovascular event, and might benefit from targeted and more intensive interventions. When great minds come together, amazing things happen! Congratulations to the NSW Medicines Formulary Platform Service, winners of the eHealth NSW Award for Partnering for Patient Safety 🏆 Together, they have consolidated 44 individual formularies into a single state-wide platform, streamlining medication workflows.
