We are constantly experimenting with new ways to make the everyday effortless for our customers. Last year we pioneered South Africa’s very first drone delivery: https://lnkd.in/dfNnWbnA. This year we delivered gees on a double decker bus, South African snacks in a London cab, and this Christmas we’re delivering families in our very own Sixty60 aeroplane. This past Saturday we experimented yet again, but this time with South Africa’s first jet ski delivery at Clifton 4th Beach. It was a resounding success, with granadilla ice lollies delivered from a store to a boat in the bay in under 60 minutes, and before they melted! Well done team, and welcome to December, South Africa ☀️

Five years have passed since we launched Sixty60 in just a few pilot stores, with hopes to become the largest on-demand grocery delivery service in SA. Having quickly scaled, integrated Xtra Savings, added Service Guarantee, introduced Xtra Savings Plus, our pursuit for continuous improvement meant we’d have to keep setting our sights higher to carry on making the every day effortless for our customers. This year, our team has done some phenomenal things. Not only have they introduced same day delivery of larger general merchandise products, but just two weeks ago they unveiled the brand new Sixty60 app, replatformed to enable customers to do all their shopping from a single place, with the 60-minute grocery delivery our customers have grown to love, and now the delivery of general merchandise within a 60-minute window.   Last night, just two weeks since introducing our new Sixty60 app, we are very proud to have received two awards at the 2024 FNB App of the Year Awards: Most Innovative Solution and Best Customer Solution! 🔥 Congratulations Team Sixty60! What an incredible achievement, and testament to your dedication to achieve anything you set your minds to 👏 PS - how cool are these trophies! 🔮

Shout out to our ShopriteX build teams for the entirely replatformed Sixty60 experience after months of beta testing 🚀.
