Kesha may not be free, but she might finally be making new music. On Tuesday night, the singer posted a photo of herself recording in the studio for the first time in years, captioned: “It’s a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again with no reason other than that he is a fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold @zedd #truecolors.” After Kesha lost her injunction to have her contract with Dr. Luke terminated, the producer Zedd publicly offered to produce a song for her if and when she wanted his help. Earlier this month, he shocked fans by bringing Kesha out during his Coachella set to sing his song “True Colors.” Given the hashtag Kesha used, she might just be recording an official version of her performance (the original song was rumored to have been intended to feature her vocals). Kesha hasn’t released music under her own name since 2013’s “Timber” with Pitbull, though she did start a covers band and says she began writing new songs back in March. Whatever she’s up to with Zedd, it means Kesha’s back in business, her legal troubles be damned.
Update: Zedd has announced that a new version of “True Colors” with Kesha will be released April 29. It’s happening!
