Vogue Spends a Day With Gracie Abrams On Tour
Released on 10/25/2024
Vogue. [gentle music starts]
Hey Vogue, I'm actually up here.
Can you see me?
Hey!
Oh, hi!
Hi, guys!
Hi, Vogue! It's me, Gracie,
and today we're playing our third show
at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Please come with me.
This is very important that we hang out
for as long as humanly possible.
Woo! [Gracie laughs quietly]
The least graceful.
It was unexpectedly emotional the first night.
I had not teared up on stage on the tour up until
that point, but just, yeah, really made me all sad.
Well, not sad, not sad.
Just teary. The least sad I've ever been maybe.
How was the week?
The week was great. Around seven...
Hi, guys! How's it going?
Hi guys, hey!
The bows are so sweet.
I saw this TikTok that was like someone being like
free thinkers at the Gracie Abrams show.
It's so, I don't know, just heartwarming
I think like to see any signs of community.
I've always had this sort of
back and forth relationship with my audience to some degree.
They're very vocal about what they want.
I'm slightly nervous to put out the deluxe album
because there's some songs that are not on it,
but those songs will have their own moments later.
All of these songs on deluxe
were recorded at Electric Lady.
Being back in the city this week,
Erin and I, we made some strange experimental stuff
that some of that is ending up on the deluxe album,
but most of it is its own kind of like bucket of songs
already that we are both desperate to finish.
So it's like it's currently my favorite place
to make things.
Welcome to stage.
And welcome to soundcheck.
Allow me to introduce you to my friends.
This is Gabe.
This is Cooper.
And this is Al.
And we're missing Casey tonight,
but Casey's normally with us.
And that's Abby up in the darkness.
Abby plays the triangle. Just kidding.

This is the first time that I've ever worked
with a vocal coach to just be smart about it.
It's obviously a muscle.
You just need to treat it like,
like you're an athlete about it.
There's something so unbelievably iconic about Radio City
Music Hall and to look out and see it full

and I've never had a B stage before.
These milestones and getting to share them with
our band and crew and who are people
that I just love so much that are such dear friends.
It feels like little just pinch me moments.
I feel like since starting touring a few years ago now,
that is the way that I like mark time instead
of like months or seasons.

I loved actually having extra friends on stage.
It felt special and now every other sound check is ruined
'cause you guys made it so sweet.
We're gonna go do our fitting now and then glam
and then showtime eventually.
Can't wait, girls! Cannot wait.

She's very ASMR.
I don't feel like there's some crazy disconnect
between the person that I am off stage versus
when I'm performing.
I just like to wear whatever makes me feel
most in my skin.
I really just like feeling like I can move and breathe.
The look for tonight is definitely like more glamour.
It's, Spencer and I were talking about it
and thought that like something that would've really kind
of shine in the light at Radio City would be.
It's a special moment.
Wow! Beautiful.

Have you met already? Hello.
Have you talked to him yet?
When there are really special moments,
we call up our friends at Chanel
and they give us really special dresses.
So true.
Come on over guys. I've worn this dress before.
I wore this at the MetLife Eras show last year
and it was my favorite thing that I'd ever performed in
and it kind of feels like a wedding dress.
Like I remember putting it on being like
maybe I would want this one day.
Obsessed.
[Spencer] Personally. Yeah.
This is tonight's moment.
It's crazy 'cause it's seersucker.
I know.
Floral and sequin, but it's literally perfect
and gorgeous and exactly
the dress that will shine on the Radio City
[Gracie] stage. Yeah.
With with the tank. I know.

Now I just need like Manolos. Yeah.
And like a boyfriend
in the East Village. Chanel pumps.
Yeah, exactly. Or Chanel pumps.
Save it for another time. Let's save it!
Something else. Yeah.
These have been the pieces that I've
worn throughout this entire tour.
What I wear on and off stage is not radically different
except for this tonight 'cause it's special.
We love this. We love this one guys.

is fancy boat party.
We're gonna go to stage and play a show and rip it.
