IPMD Control Card


IPMD card
The H612IPMD board is an IP service processing board. The

H612IPMD board has the following


Functions:
Aggregates and processes broadband services.

Forwards the VoIP services of the PVMD board.

Transmits IP services upstream through the FE/GE electrical

port or the GE optical port.

The PVMB card is the packet voice processing

card.

PWX Card Description

The PWX card is the secondary power card that provides +5


VDC, 5 VDC, and 75 VAC 25 Hz (ringing current) supplies.

The PWX card reports the running status to the ESC card or
the control card.

The functions and features of the PWX card are as follows:

DC output current-limiting protection

Protection from over-temperature through the built-in power


modules

Visual and audible alarm

4 VLANs should be created in each AG (UA5000),one for SoftSwitch media traffic, one for SoftSwitch signaling
traffic, one for xDSL VOBB traffic, and one for Internet Accessing traffic. For AG (Mini-UMG/UMG), there is no
VOBB and Internet traffic;
Enable VRRP in MSE, the heart-beat of VRRP is through the remote EPEs local switching instance;
At least 2 domains should be created in BRAS, one for xDSL VOBB accessing, another for Internet users;
BRAS act as DHCP relay for all CPE/IAD,BRAS/AG/UA5000 work together to ensure the security of whole network.
