5.3 Starting Procedure of MDBFP:

SL No. Description
1

1 Confirm the necessary start-up conditions of MDBFP have been met.

2
2 Keep Scoop control at minimum position <2%
3
3 Start lube oil Pump. (Pressure > 2kg/cm2)
4
4 Check for any leakages and any abnormal sound.
5
5 Check for lube oil filter DP should be less than 0.2 Kg/Cm2
6
6 Check all bearings inlet oil pressure and return line oil flow.
7
7 Take clearance from field engineer.
8
8 Start MDBFP in Re-circulation.
9
9 After starting the BFP, lube oil pump will stop automatically, then again check oil pressure.
1
10 Keep close watch on key parameters keep in touch with field Engineer for any abnormalities.

12 After sufficient warm-up start taking water to boiler by increasing Hydraulic Scoop.
1
13 While taking water to boiler, ensure continuous make –up of De-aerator through CEP/Boiler fill pump.
4 Keep observation on pump vibration, bearings temperature & motor winding temperature during normal
14 condition.

5.4 MDBFP Stop Procedure:

SL No. Activity

1
Before shut down the BFP check recirculation CV and manual valve in open condition.
