-Cut 4 rectangles 3.5” x 6.5” 1) Using the 4” Medium 1 and 4” medium 2 squares
make HSTs using method on the last page

-Cut 4 squares 2.5” x 2.5 Trim to 3.5” square

Medium Fabric 1
-Cut 2 squares 4” x 4” for Half Square
2) Using the 2.5” light 2 and 2.5” dark 2 squares
Triangles (HST)
Make a 9 patch block
Measures 6.5” x 6.5”

Step 1 Directions 1) Following the diagram,
1) Draw a diagonal line on Place a dark square on the light 1 rectangle fabric
each 3.5” dark 1 square 2) Sew on the line.

to be sure it matches up to the rectangle
4) Trim away the excess corner fabric behind
the triangle. Leave a 1/4” seam.
