1. General Rules
1.1 Coverage
Method of statement shall be applied to this construction work.
1.2 Conference
Just in case if the contents of Method of Statement need to be changed or an important problem,
which is not mentioned in this contents, occurs, they shall be discussed immediately and followed
the procedure from Construction Manager precisely.
1.3 Recognition
To preventany mistake, the content of this Method of statement shall be distributed and recognized
by all related people before commencement of work.

2. Work Outline
2.1 Location
GF & Power House.

2.2 Engine Data

Capacity : 2 x 2500 kVA


Total Weight of enclosure : 15 ton each

2.3 Schedule
Equipment delivery is planned on (TBA)

2.4 Working Procedure
2.4.1 Lifting works shall only be done during at morning time, therefore make sure for the time frame
allocated for Forklift to stay in the positioning area in order to be get ready and aware for the
mobilization and demobilization time to avoid inconvenient and delay.
2.4.2 Forklift shall be properly park in the designated parking area in order not to distract other heavy
equipment passing through after lifting or during daytime.
2.4.3 Check the overall weight of Heavy Burden Equipment
2.4.4 Make a survey for possible route of heavy equipment going to each foundation and check the
elevation of foundation
2.4.5 Provide Wooden block and steel plates if necessary to make elevation surface uniform, take note
the sizes of UNP must be suitable to height of foundation
2.4.6 Prepare the pipe roller with enough capacity to carry the heavy equipment and position it in
generator set room ready for the unloading of equipment
2.4.7 Prepare a sheet of steel plate for the area unloading and the position area of the heavy equipment
2.4.8 Position the Forklift as near as possible to the opening for heavy equipment entry located in the
ground floor area proper pre-cautions must be observed. See attachment- for the positioning
location of the forklift.
2.4.9 Position the truck that carries the equipment as close as possible to the Forklift. ( At this time
professional rigger is required )
2.4.10 Carefully, the rigger makes signal to forklift operator through hand gesture signaling, to start
lifting the equipment slowly.
2.4.11 As the equipment draws closer to the opening, the rigger will guide the exact orientation and
position of the equipment for convenient setting in the roller and for final setting in place.
2.4.12 Put the heavy equipment set to the chill roller, the roller must be manned with expert and
professional to avoid untoward incident towards each foundation prior to final setting and
installation.
2.4.13 For pulling the generator set, anchor or fix a sling cable braid type to the structural column of the
building. At the midpoint of sling cable, fasten the chain block hook, tie or fix another sling cable
to the generator and extend until reaches to the other hook of chain block, fix firmly. Start moving
the generator set slowly using the chain block/hoist towards each foundation prior to final setting
and installation

Note: Close supervision from Engineer in-charge from the contractor is required for this work
execution.

2.5 Safety Measure


2.5.1 Danger Forecast
• Fall and damage of equipment due to improper handling
• Fall and damage of equipment due to improper rigging
• Untoward incident or injury of personnel due to miss-communication during loading or
unloading of equipment
• Stumbling of workers lead to serious accident due to poor illumination of the working area.
• Damage life, property and equipment

2.5.2 Preventive Actions


• Make sure that all equipment must be properly fastened or supported before bringing to its
final location.
• Ensure that lifting, Forklift has enough capacity to carry the equipment weight and must be
securely fasten to lifting eye before lifting the equipment.
• Make sure that professional rigger and have well-verse in rigging gesture that can
communicate properly to Forklift operator must execute the rigging work.
• Must Install enough lightings in the perimeter of working area.
• Prepare and provide good lighting for night works.

1. Dimension Engine & Radiator

• For easier lifting the genset from truck to the position, the radiator will deliver to site
separate with the engine
• The radiator will assemble to the engine at the permanent position

2. Opening for Loading Genset

• Need Opening for Loading Radiator and Engine

3. Area Unloading &Installation position of steel plate and roll pipe

• Clean the area where the forklift will pass when lifting the radiator and engine
• Place a steel plate along the forklift track area when carrying the radiator or engine
• Prepare the roll pipe and install the hand winch that has been prepared

UNLOADING OF RADIATOR

• Move the radiator No.1 to the designated area in front of the generator room opening using a
forklift

• If the position of the radiator is correct then install the webbing sling on the radiator that has
been prepared previously

• Attach the webbing sling to the chain block hand which

• Then pull slowly until it reaches the specified position
• Clean the area and return the roller pipe to its original position

UNLOADING OF GENERATOR-SET

• Move the engine No.1 to the designated area in front of the generator room opening
using a forklift

• If the position of the engine is correct then install the webbing sling on the base
frame engine that has been prepared previously

• Attach the webbing sling to the chain block hand which

• Then pull slowly until it reaches the specified position
• Clean the area.
