Senior Government Relations Manager - Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Government Relations Manager will be instrumental in our Public


Partnership and Strategy Division, headquartered in New Delhi. This pivotal role
involves establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with government officials
and agencies, identifying opportunities for partnership, and driving Nexstellar’s
presence and success in public sector projects.

Location: New Delhi, India

Key Responsibilities:

● Forge strategic relationships with government bodies to facilitate cooperation


and identify business opportunities.
● Lead policy advocacy efforts, influencing regulations and policies to support
Nexstellar’s business interests.
● Develop and manage strategic partnerships with public sector entities,
aligning with Nexstellar’s growth objectives.
● Identify and secure projects, tenders, and grants from government bodies,
aligning with our strategic direction.
● Oversee public sector project management, ensuring compliance, efficiency,
and impact.
Qualifications:

● Advanced Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Public Administration,


or related field: A strong educational foundation that combines the strategic
acumen of business with the operational specifics of public projects.
● Proven Experience in Business Development and Government Relations: At
least 5 years of direct experience securing government contracts or related
activities, with a demonstrated track record of business development and
order generation within the public sector.
● Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and
the economic aspects of project proposals and tender documentation. Ability
to analyze financial viability and risk assessment of public sector projects.
● Strategic Sales and Negotiation Skills: Expertise in identifying opportunities,
crafting proposals, and closing deals. Strong negotiation skills to secure
contracts under favorable terms.
● Comprehensive Knowledge of Government Procurement Processes:
Familiarity with government tendering, procurement policies, and legal
frameworks. Ability to navigate complex bidding processes and regulatory
requirements.
● Relationship Management: Exceptional ability to build and maintain strategic
relationships with key government stakeholders, policymakers, and public
sector clients.
● Project Management Skills: Experience in overseeing the execution of
government projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with
contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.
● Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to leverage data and market insights
to inform business development strategies, enhance government relations
efforts, and identify new public sector opportunities.
● Adaptability and Resilience: Capacity to adapt strategies in response to
changing market dynamics or government priorities, maintaining focus on
long-term business goals.
● Excellent Communication: Articulate communicator capable of effectively
presenting proposals, leading negotiations, and fostering collaborative
relationships with government officials and internal teams.
