The Cross Laid Rope is one manufactured to form a shape of
point contact by crossing each layer of wire by twisting dif-
ferent pitches by each layer of wires within strands like the
picture below.
1) Because it forms the shape of point contact, the overall flexibility of the rope is satisfactory because the mobility between
wires of each layer is satisfactory.
2) The wires are easily broken because the stress is concentrated at the place of contact.
*Most suitable for slings, fisheries, lashings and moorings.

1) Because it forms a linear contact between the wire of each layer, the inner abrasion between wires is low.
2) It has less form variation because each layer is twisted as linear contact at hollow sections
3) It has less rope strain from winding
4) The breaking load is higher than Cross Laid Ropes of same size because effective cross section is higher.
5) It is more stiff compared to Cross Laid Rope. (flexibility is low)
*Most suitable for cranes.

Rope
Non-Rotating
The multilayer rope means the one that minimizes the rota-
tional property of rope by having the twisting direction
opposite by each layer as the strands are made by being
twisted as 2 or 3 layers.

Rope
Non-Rotating
1) The state of rope s shape being destroyed doesn t occur.
2) The non magnetic property is excellent compared to regular ropes.
*Mostly used for high head crane, 1 lumber sling crane, electric installation, leads and deep sea observations.
